A Hidden Gem Classic. This is not what you expect it to be. Some sort of Pacific Rim/Transformers knockoff. It's actually a sport movie (Rocky) mixed with some Sci-Fi (Transformers) and a family movie. any movie you've ever seen with a father/son on the road bonding from Chef to Over the Top, you'd get this. I can't say I've ever seen something like it. The editing is really well done and everything else is suprisngly solid about it. Lilly is really good, the special effects are really well done on the bots, and it weaves between the robot fighting and father/son drama perfectly. If anything the father/son drama is the most interesting parts. the characters are all likeable, it's super heart warming also. If there is one big flaw here is if you've ever seen any sports movie or any father/son movie you know exactly how this is going to go. The world outside of the robot fighting also is kind of forgettable as well. Also some of the "villians" like Zeus's owners, the loan shark, and the other oppenents are all kind of forgettable. The plot line of the robot having self awareness feels super underdevloped and kind of pointless. And the robot fights can get a little loud and screaming chaotic. They can be a little simliar and mindless at times too but they work just well enough. And yet despite all that...I really liked it. It's a heartwarming type of film you would never expect it to be. This is something to defintely put on for the family, a sports movie, Sci-Fi, or fans of the direcotr or actors in it. Great suprise and defintely would watch again.

Rising of the Robo-Rocky

I really liked this movie. It's such a unique concept to create a movie about. I love the character development that Charlie Kenton went through with his son. The way that Max and changed him is incredible. The movie overall had a great story line and kept interested the whole time. The ending was so perfectly thought out. The way that a newly built "junkyard" robot almost bet the top robot fighter is incredible. It wouldn't have been realistic if Atom won, which is exactly why it's a good thing that he was declared the "People's Champion". Great family movie for everyone to enjoy!

I believe it was a very good movie and would recommend it and the ending wasn't predictable so I really enjoyed it.

This movie is well thought out with a progressing storyline and a statisfing end. Relatable characters that have well-curated backstories and characteristics contribute to the brilliance of the movie as a whole. A cliche idea that is well presented and unique, for a movie that probably brings nostalgia to masses. This movie was an amazing watch, and particularly rewatchable. While watching I was searching for the release date of the sequel, and will be looking forward to its release.

Although I definetly agree with the critics who say it's "cheesy" / "corny" it is well worth the watch. The movie and storyline has this ability to get under your skin and feel attached to Max (the little boy) and Atom (the robot). This is definitely a movie to watch with a kid or for family night, or if you're like me, one to unwind, but fair warning you definitely will get riled up in the last couple of minutes of the movie. Overall an amazing movie, never fails to reel me in everytime emotionally and brings me to a couple of tears in the last few minutes. Amazing and nostalgic movie for sure!

Probably still the best robot fighting film made, doesn't loose its shine even after watching a few times.

This was a good movie when it first came out, it was my dad's favorite movie to rewatch all the time, lol. It is a different style of action for Hugh Jackman he did great, and he was glad at the end, Maz and Charlie's bond really sparked up. The action with the boxing sequence is so great I love any type of fighting movie, and Shawn did not make it too cringy. I could see something like this really happening in this world!!! WAY TO GO ADAM!!!!

I remember like it was yesterday, Real Steel is like the Rocky movies except in a futuristic setting, excellent son & becoming farther relationships, and jaw biting suspense with boxing fights, not afraid to take risks with kids or teens learning about loss, pain, and how to hold on the Family you made along the way! Great movie for 12 years old to older, I give 8.3 Stars Out of 10, & yes, it should been success to get revenue to make a sequel!

I think this still might be my favorite movie of all time. Robots fighting each other is just something else. I’ve watched this movie about 20 times and it still doesn’t get old. Would love to see another one

Undoubtedly the most criminally underrated fighting/futuristic movie there is. Amazing story of rags to riches. Phenomenal sound track. Fantastic visuals. All around an absolute must watch if you haven't.

It is a good quality science fiction movie, it progressed very well towards the end, I really liked the plot, it is recommended, it is a good story, the scene where the child plays the robot was very nice and the passion and happiness of winning during the wrestling moment was quite nice, there were a few scenes when I got bored, but apart from that, it is a good movie that is fun to watch.
