Goofy creature feature is only moderately effective. Sil, the alien lizard lady, has a biological imperative to reproduce, and she'll kill as many people in LA as she needs to make that happen. So it's a silly high concept script...This inspite of an awesome cast and many effective and suspenseful scenes. But it's un-done by the obviously exploitive aspects of the plot. In order to put something like this over you would need an awesome, super stylish and innovative director to put a cool, arty spin on things; (kind of like Depalma did with Carrie, or Ridley Scott did with Alien). As it is, it comes across as just a very trashy B-movie; something you might see on Skinemax late on Saturday night.

I didn’t see Species when it came out in the 90s, and I wasn’t expecting much, but this was an entertaining science fiction thriller. Although, I watched the 온라인카지노추천 version, so I’m pretty sure I missed the reasons why this movie was infamous back in the day. It’s pretty dated when it comes to the computer-generated effects, but the practical ones look fine, and the core of the plot is still interesting. Natasha Henstridge did a good job as the fish out of water type, and I thought Forest Whitaker’s empath character was the weakest point of the film. I would classify Species as an average horror flick.

I'm rating this on the only good thing in the movie. Natasha's nudity. The cast is useless. The premise is absurd. The script is aweful.

ALL FOUR of the SPECIES franchise are made with those of us in mind having a practically complete incapacity for critical thought and a major capacity for extremely poor judgment. Take me, for instance. I slogged right on through, binge watching all four [like the stunningly real he-man that I am] and, when that unfortunate waste was finally over with, I couldn't recall what I'd seen or what the storylines were even about — which proves its actually possible to put oneself into a coma from watching horribly stupid movies with screenplays so evidently made up by four year olds [that very stupid people — exactly like me — somehow can't seem to avoid). My God, WHAT'S WRONG WITH ME...???⚡😵‍💫⚡

I was watching this entertained the entire time. I’m genuinely surprised at the low score, i was constantly rooting for the alien and the protagonists the entire time. it was interesting looking at the aliens motives- and i know there’s the huge nudity ordeal but the actress kept acting like an alien, i thought it was very well done.

A guilty pleasure science fiction horror film that is highly underrated in my opinion.

Underrated film. The effects at the time were top notch. The acting is well done. Score is very fitting and the true horror comes from Sil played by Natasha. The horror of her inner mind being pulled towards an alien species and back to human is scary. Something the rest of the series never expanded on and that is why they ultimately failed to be anything but B movies. The species design by Giger is also beautiful and doesn't get enough love.

This movie is a fun watch. Interesting concept. Give it a try.

Species has great prosthetic work based off of some equally great concept art from H.R. Giger, newcomer Natasha Henstridge delivers a decent performance given the material she has to work with and some good old-fashioned B-movie thrills but this erotic take on Alien suffers from unrealised potential, forgettable characters played by overqualified actors and cheesy dialogue. But MGM at least got a hit out of this movie because of the hype surrounding the chance to have a look at Ms. Henstridge's tits...good for them. It definitely sounds about right to me that the logical conclusion for horror movies being seen as anti-sex propaganda culminates in a movie about scientists and a mercenary trying to stop a human/alien hybrid of sorts from getting laid. Does that meet the criteria for that old "explain a movie plot badly" meme?

Watching it again I didn't realize how silly and low budget this is. It is filled with so much "junk science" it is laughable. The team assembled to capture and destroy the strange aline creature is made up of a stellar cast. They all do a good job maintaining a serious approach to this silly subject. Natasha Henstridge is very dynamic and beautiful and compelling in the lead role. While the movie is silly and the script dialogue is weak the movie is greater than the sum of the parts. I actually enjoyed this as a Sci-fi, thriller. It is highly watchable and has held up over 30 years.

Species is a action/ scifi movie starring Natasha hemmstridge . The film is about an alien that comes to earth and wants to sleep with many human men in order to create more aliens of her own kind. What starts off as a normal scifi later on becames too adult for children to watch. The movie definitely upholds it's r rating . Later on a few cops find a man dead in his home after she seduces him in one scene but she later on decides she doesn't like him but he kinda forces her to have sex with him and she ends up killing him with her alien tongue though his head . The cops further investigate to find her , and stop her before it's too late . This movie passes the time but it's not a great film. Christian perspective/ parents discretion Violence lots of violence . Includes alien woman killing a man in his home with her tongue , a few scenes of explosions and a few dead body's of the men she rejected . Language several f words and s words hell used and might be a few s words . 2 or 3 religious profanities. Sex / drug references No drug references but sexual content in many scenes of this movie. Of the alien woman having her way with several men to produce aliens of her own. Nudity shown in a few scenes breasts exposed. This is not a movie for a Christian or religious families to watch . If you're a man or woman of faith stay away from this movie . If you aren't you may find some enjoyment out of it . It's an average film but not mind blowing. Christian

I Actually liked this Film when it first released, and to this day I feel that, despite it's dated CGI Effects & somewhat dated concepts, it still (mostly) holds up.* (* And the SIL design indeed remains one of Cinema's great Creature designs)

Natasha Henstridge makes a strong creature that at times you even feel for, but there is shockingly little else in terms of interest.

Can't understand the low approval rating. Excellent monster movie.

Enjoy it and like the script, good thrills. It may not be an Oscar nomination but at least not boring
