While Section 31 does give viewers a little more insight into the Terran Empire and their ruthless customs, the narrative oddly pivots from a strong start...to a more generic outfit unfortunately missing all the hallmark Star Trek elements.

This film made my clinical depression worse than it was before I watched it. I have loved the Star Trek franchise since I was four years old (circa 1986), and watching this "movie" was like watching a beloved relative dying of cancer. Seriously, don't watch this. Worst movie of 2025, easily.

Michelle Yeoh is, of course, fantastic. Some of the other performances are competent. That is the good news. The bad news is that the plot has enormous holes in it, some characterizations don't make sense, other characterizations are offensive, there are trite plot devices, and the whole thing is just plain bad. The DVD's special features were more entertaining than the film itself.

The intro wasn't extraordinarily terrible, until you learn they choose the leader of an empire from some fight to the death stupidity. As a non Star Trek movie it might be hilariously bad.

This had so much potential if the writers got fired. The sets, music, actors and graphics were great. But the story. It was worse than chatgpt 2. I have never been so disappointed with a movie, and thats saying a lot. I was compelled to sign up for this after 20 years of lurking, this movie was so bad I had to. The ending was the only thing worse than the story. Lets organise a campaign to get the writer the help they need: coherence.

I finally got around to watching this movie and up until the last 5 minutes I thought it was about 2 stars but now it gets a resounding -10!! Why? Because of that god awful cameo by who I believe is a stuck up, self-centered, old geezer, b*tch. That being that crusty c**t Curtis!!! Blah!! She couldn't act to save her horrid life.
