What a rubbish B grade movie. Acting poor, plot boring, monster completely pathetic. Someone has paid these “expert critics” to boost this nonsense.

Fantastic monster film

There's not enough alcohol on earth to convince me this is a good film. RT got this way, way wrong. Each character must be horribly stupid to move the plot forward. The best part of the film were sans dialogue. Freaking awful.

Sweetheart perfectly meets the expectations of this kind of film. The progression is well-paced, with just the right amount of thrills and events. The psychological aspects are also realistic enough to help viewers identify with the situations and, on top of that, Sweetheart delivers it all with heart.

Beach alone is 50% of the run time, this is how you rock on a budget but you need vision 2020 to enjoy it. What heart is sweet anyway??

This movie had a great plot, great suspense and good pacing. However, this movie also had some fatal flaws that ruined the experience. I don't understand how this film can have the rating it has. First, while the first half of the movie was good, things felt apart when the other survivors showed up and you quickly find that the dialog and acting was atrocious. I mean, who the hell argues about mundane things while they're in a survival, life and death situation? That completely ruined the movie. Second, the last fight for survival between the main character and the creature was complete BS and not realistic at all. When the main character fought the creature for the first time, it was very evident that the creature was just too fast and too strong for her (or any human). She managed to do something to get the creature away from her, but obviously it was pure luck. Then, on the final fight, she just manages to more or less fight the creature in even terms and you know where it's going from here. It was terrible and completely negated their first encounter. This movie had a very good foundation to be a good or even great movie. But that was negated by abysmal dialog and unrealistic fight.

Horrible execution. Predictable. No plot, lots of loose ends.

Haunting. Saw it last night. Still thinking about it. The way she wasn't believed, the way the menace kept coming back. Gave me the same deep feeling of apprehension and recognition as the movie "Take Shelter."

This movie is so hyped. Maybe that is why I think its so BAD. Its a good idea and the island setting is okay but the directing is terrible. Seriously some of the worst directing possible.

Sure it might remind you of other titles, but this is solid & entertaining survival horror held together by the performance from Kiersey Clemons.

Horrible acting, bad movie

This is so dumb. Don't even bother. The monster looks like ‘the creature from black lagoon' ie a man with a rubbery suit on lol. Can't believe I watched the entire thing.

meh; this was alright. it's kind of a slow burn - no doubt if you were in her shoes you'd be shitting your pants - but as far as movies go, not a lot happens really. & I wish there was a little more mystery even to the creature - the film started out strong, but as soon as you see the creature it kind of takes away from the suspense it built so beautifully right away. it's not a bad watch, but I probably wouldn't recommend it.

Pros: The movie starts out pretty well. Stranded on an desert island without any knowledge of the main character or how she got there. We are left to kinda piece together what happened to her and also what happened to the previous residents of that island. I love the scene of the first monster shot! DANG! beautiful, BUT it all kinda goes downhill from there. Cons: The second they add the other characters the whole movie goes south. A lot of the conversations between the main characters and the side characters have no substance they don't add LITERALLY anything to the current story. The movie would have been better if they just left it between the girl and the monster. Imagine: The silence and feel of cast away but with the ending of predator. Sadly, we don't get that. I don't care that the movie doesn't address the monster origins, but there are scenes where they emphasize certain objects that don't lead anywhere. The hollow log that they keep showing? Is it a tunnel to a cave? A nest? Nope. Just a log. The blood on the knife of the boyfriend? Did he have to kill someone? Was there a third body on the raft? Nope, let's show it and not mention it literally ever again. Lastly, the movie name is from a conversation between the main character and BF which honestly is just lame. Pretty sure it's just to make mockery of what the BF gaslighting her, but it's a monster movie of course no one is going to believe the main character right away. Looking back there is a BIG emphasis of fire and water so they probably could have dug a little deeper philosophically on that. This movie had A LOT of potential and I do like the first part a lot, but it just falls and stumbles until it trips on its own "fins".

Clemons is super lovely and tough. I still like movies where they actually put a guy in a rubber monster suit—as opposed to mostly CGI. A well done flick on a budget with many impressive shots.

This story adds a horror element to a survival thriller, just like the 온라인카지노추천 show Lost did. Only in this case there is no depth to the characters and it rolls on similar to a shark movie.
