Tamara Drewe Reviews
(laughs) wow so much happens just around one character I would have loved this movie if it hadn't been for that damn little 'Jody' character, I really just wanted to slap the hell out of her other than that big distraction from the plot there's beautiful scenery in the British landscapes and fine acting from Gemma Arterton Dominic Cooper is terrific comic-relief does make one ponder too; how do we attempt to succeed in life if somethin big doesnt happen to us terrible or not? its a funny, witty and sexy graphic novel adaptation that can stand on its own two feet
Luke Evans and Tamsin Greig must have been desperate for work when they signed up for this film. There was no real plot, the whole ‘storyline' was incredibly superficial and the ending was awful. That was 110 minutes of my life wasted.
This is the first review I have written on here, but I thought it would be remiss of me not to warn you. What utter tripe. A misogynistic, desperate romp (ie crashing tits and arse into flagstones) through an English countryside, with an English cast putting on desperately implausible English Accents. How it seems so dated I have no idea. I am honestly surprised that this even got made. Ridiculous twaddle that I has infuriated me from beginning to end. I want to swear profusely, but that is disallowed. Please believe me though, this is fuffing sh!te.
Enjoyed this well-acted albeit farfetched Hardy adaptation of the graphic novel; Supporting work in some ways exceeded that of Arterton who visually fits the role but is often the least interesting character.
I actually love this film. Great script, great acting/casting, looks nice and, most importantly, very likeable characters. There is an intelligent warmth to this film that I find very lacking in most films of this ilk these days.
An engaging and entertaining rom com with an undercurrent of tragedy, Tamara Drewe traverses both the shallow and more profound incarnations of romantic attraction, condemning the former and sweetly embracing the latter.
Somehow this film just draws you in with morally depraved characters , witty dialogue and comical irony...and while it's no picture of the year, it stands out from the crowd with a surprising level of entertainment ! 3 stars
Charming romantic comedy of English rural village life.
Very very strange film but none the less it's not bad. It's just slightly hard to follow sometimes and some awkward writing. Other then that it's a good movie.
Somehow this thing is supposed to be a spin on Far From the Madding Crowd but except for the merest passing references it bears no semblance to that story.
This was a decent British black comedy/ romance and pretty predictable, but the main characters were appealing enough, that you could overlook the predictability, there seemed to be some editing problems near the end of the film. Gemma Arteton is a hottie and she is one good actress to see on screen, very well done movie. So for this being an okay British film with solid performances, I give "Tamara Drew" a C.
Interesting little film, not sure if I am a big fan of the title character, and to be honest the annoying teenager girl was just that annoying as all heck. (seriously!!) The character of Andy was quite the handsome piece, and him I could find myself enjoying to watch. The rest of this films characters were not really my full cup of tea, but hey, it filled the evening 온라인카지노추천 viewing time I had.
Tamara Drewe has a very promising start with a cast of very unique characters. It starts off has a Romantic Comedy then it switches to a Drama. Then back to a Romantic Comedy and so on. The characters change their mind as if a different screenwriter wrote a separate page and threw it all on the wall and what stuck is the screenplay for this movie. The scenery is beautiful and the actors did their best with what they had. I highly recommend avoiding this film, unless you're drunk. NOTE: I do not recommend drinking over the limit, ever! Unless you're about to watch this film.
