The 15:17 to Paris Reviews
15:17 to Paris, as in other Eastwood films, the war is present, as well as its inspiration in real events, it has several of the protagonists of the event that occurred in 2015 "acting" as themselves.

Unfortunately Clint Eastwood’s finished product is a well-intended but surprisingly awkward misfire. Only the last 30 minutes felt like the tribute these three courageous young men deserved.
| Original Score: 2/5 | Aug 20, 2022
The fault lies entirely with the filmmakers, who fail to give these men a movie worthy of their extraordinary actions.

The decision to cast non-actors is hardly a new one, Eastwood's decision was still met with skepticism considering he was casting the actual heroes to recreate their heroics.

It's something so detached from humanity, so blind to the world around it. The 15:17 to Paris is Thoughts and Prayers: The Movie.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Jul 23, 2020
It's a mixed bag of results, but I'm mildly recommending it for the novelty factor.

That trademark Eastwood lack of sugar coating is what makes its inciting event memorable.
| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Aug 19, 2019
Sad that we never really got to know their three protagonists more than the forced attempt to sell what they did. A big disappointment. [Full Review in Spanish]

For evidence of why narrative filmmaking is generally assisted by the designation of actors who have learned at least some facets of their craft, look no further than Clint Eastwood's egregiously inauthentic experiment.
| Original Score: 1/5 | Jul 23, 2019
A formless, narratively inert nothing of a movie that often feels like watching someone's home movies of their trip to Europe for an hour and a half.
| Original Score: 1/4 | Jun 3, 2019
A long drawn out film; horrible pacing, awkward editing, and ultimately, a boring experience.
| Original Score: D+ | May 9, 2019
Maybe its time for the much-admired director to rest on his laurels.

While the storytelling is competent enough, unfortunately the narrative is lost in an uneventful timeline and awkward exchanges.

"The 15:17 to Paris" is an unsuccessful attempt to tell an incredible story. While I'm always up for unconventional choices, such choices aren't always going to work.
| Original Score: 1.5/5 | Feb 7, 2019
Clint Eastwood has directed 37 motion pictures over the course of 41 years, yet none have been as painful to watch as this one.
| Original Score: 1.5/4 | Jan 8, 2019
...one of the most unwatchable movies from a major studio this decade.
| Dec 17, 2018
A straightforward drama, this film works well enough for what it is but it could've been much better.
| Original Score: 3.0/4 | Nov 20, 2018
The 15:17 to Paris would be better served as a 20-minute short rather than a 90-minute feature as the climatic third act overwhelmingly dwarfs the haphazard, lazy first hour.

It is safe to say that few heard about this incident and wondered what kind of gelato these guys prefer, or what they talk about when connecting on Skype.

"Did he hire three non-actors or only two?" Well, to tell you the truth, in all this tedium I kind of lost track myself.
