The Burning Sea Reviews
It's great watching it was fun It's great watching it was fun
Another exciting Norwegian disaster film, this time more focused on the emotional part, and I liked it
One star for the effects and half a star for the somewhat decent acting. The main character really flew out to the middle of the ocean with a half-baked plan and expected corporate to pull them out
Pretty good until the ending. Spoiler alert ....................................... a thick oil slick doesn't burn off in 10 minutes plus the wells would have kept spewing oil. I was hoping Hollywood wouldn't have infected this movie but, oh well.....
It had many opportunities for a more intriguing story and acting. A little suspenseful but I wouldn't go as far as to call it gripping. I watched the English dubbed version.
I really enjoyed this movie. It was very well acted and gripping to watch. Touching story. Subtitles a bonus for those of us with hearing impairments or in a hotel room where you want the sound down. I found myself googling it afterwards as I was curious to see if it was based on real events.
A worthy movie, plausible situation, love finds a way.
This disaster movie was pretty good. The entire cast and crew did a pretty good job on this movie. The plot of the movie was dramatic, intense, and thrilling. It's about rescuing the people you love and fighting to survive a major disaster. If you haven't seen this movie yet, you may enjoy it. It's worth it.
Well done. Excellent efx. Good story line, solid acting. Occasionally slow. Plausible disaster story. Entertaining. Plot strains credibility at times. Worth a watch
A decent Norwegian disaster film. It felt a little long and dragged out for the 104 min runtime, but it was still a solid and entertaining production, with excellent cinematography and S/VFX. Casting and performances were spot on. It's a good one-time watch, and a well deserved 7/10 from me.
I expected a bit more after seeing above average reviews. It's entertaining if you're bored, but the delivery is a bit lackluster when you consider everything. Felt like a huge buildup that ended up being almost tasteless.
The burning sea is a disaster flick with an urgent message. A story without unnecessary drama. Raw portrayal of the dangerous games we play with nature. An example for how small we are, how small our modern marvels are when certain lines are crossed.
Saw with family and it was so bad. The poor dubbing at least made it entertaining. Extra half star for special effects, but another half taken off for cliches. It was on Hulu.
Fantastic movie. I love disaster movies and this is great. Really intense and a rollercoaster of emotional trauma. Really good storyline which together with a strong cast and amazing shots is awesome. Really recommend this movie. Great Director.
Very Impressed with the acting and the screenplay. Well done!
