The Cobbler Reviews
for sure watch it!??! it kept me entertained! im so surprised it has such bad ratings whatttttttt???? saw the plottwist coming from a mile away but whatever none the less its an amaizng movie???
Could've been good. But it wasn't. Took a gruesome turn. Surprised it's not rated R cause of the gore. Yes, that's right, Gore. Save yourself the wasted time.
I didn't discover this gem until earlier this year... `10 years after its debut. I loved it! In fact, after watching it on Prime, I bought it. I was surprised to learn it got no Oscars. I thought it should have, especially if there is an award for editing. It was like watching a long magic show, always some little surprise to keep you on your toes. I found the film thoroughly enjoyable. Then yesterday I find out how badly it was panned. I can't understand that. And I'm not changing my mind. This movie is clever and delightful and witty and charming. One of my favorite bits was when Max is wearing the Asian man's shoes and says something then is genuinely amused to hear he has an accent. Clever.
This is a surprising and heartfelt change for Sandler, while also being familiar. I thoroughly enjoyed the twists.
I watched it early on a Sunday morning after a 13 hour shift and then a few drinks. Thought it was silly and cute. Not everything can be The Godfather. That's a lot of sarcasm.
Trash. Pure, Unadulterated trash.
It's cobblin time. With movies like Adam Sandler you can't lose
The weight of the main message of the movie is significantly higher than the gap it leaves for critics mentioned in low ratings comments. Well crafted, good flow easy to watch and great acts.
Adorable, sweet, and entertaining movie full of humor and heart.
It's an enjoyable fantasy and parable about walking in others' shoes and assuming personal responsibility. Ignore the negativity of the oh-so-sophisticated critics and give it a try.
I love this movie, maybe the fast paced crowd of today isn't into something with substance over splash, but I immensely enjoyed the mystery, suspense, laughs and intrigue.
A fun light fantasy story that addresses the mundaneness of life, but also affirms the gift of life. I liked it.
LOVED it! From the start, it's a warm, positive, inviting family film. Excellent Adam Sandler dramedy!!! He should make more of these movies! ππΏπ¬
Adam Sandler is like cheese, he only gets better with time. A flawless comedic masterpiece.
Wasn't too bad, surprised it is one of Adam Sandler's biggest box office bombs.
This movie is heavily under rated. The plot while semi-predictable is well structured with some fun comedic moments. There are several untundras to watch for. Heartfealt drama-com with some fun magical twists.
flat and predictable.
This is a unique and interesting film if ever there was one. Based on what the critics said, my expectations started low, but I can't see why they don't like it. As the film develops, the character switches start to speed up, and at times I started to get a bit confused. I also struggled to reconcile the cobbler's motivations, as I tried to figure out if he was just experimenting with a new trick he had found, or whether he had a greater purpose to fight injustice like a super hero would. The ending explains some of it, and opens the door to a sequel - 'The Drycleaner'! Overall, I found the film interesting and I enjoyed the novelty of exploring new ideas. I did not like the soundtrack though. I found it overly fussy and irritating, with a European style that seemed out of place. I still recommend the film.
Great movie. Good story. Very funny.
I loved this movie. Yes it was a little wild, yes it was not what you expect from Adam Sandler but it really kept my attention and was well done.
