This was a chore to watch, my sister's partner walked out, I wasn’t really surprised at his reaction. I couldn't stay that much longer either, think I left about 20 minutes later after many others had also left. If it wasn’t a small independent cinema I would have asked for a refund.

A complete nightmare. So happy to have a garden with lake view, and not this horror in my life. Well, I didn't like "The Prosess" neighter, and will probably not read this Dostojevski story. Raskolnikov and "The Gambler" was enough. Rotten Tomatoes is getting rotten...

It's sort of a pseudo-modernized adaptation of Dostoevsky's story. It's ostensibly complex as a result, but ultimately proves shallow and simplistic. I'll give it a few extra points for Eisenberg's intriguing performance(s).

Richard Ayoade's The Double comes only a few years after his directorial debut, SUBMARINE. From Jesse Eisenberg's great performance to Chris Morris' cameo, this film just is an awesome ride, it's like a twister ride at those theme parks, always goes SO SO SO fast, but it's always the best there. THE DOUBLE is a thrilling and fun ride which never fails to disappoint.
