Totally surprised on this. The ending shocked me with the teleportation technology learned in the Philadelphia Experiment, did not see that coming and it tied the ending in perfectly with the original Dyatlov pass crew it was so original and unexpected. The crappy CGI in the very end took this down a notch but really clever and fun movie

A found footage film that takes a real-life event and offers a possible explanation as to how and why it happened. It's not seamless in blending genres, but it's still interesting, intriguing and original in its exploration, and it does deserve more credit for taking a pretty big swath with the third act that's also rooted in history. It's not for everyone, but it's still good whether you like it or not. My biggest complaint is some of the visual effects could've been handled better.

It is a typical found footage. The protagonists go party the night before the journey is always a must for every found footage trip. Like the Chernobyl Diaries, we encounter some likeable guides from that part of the world. Eventually, the group goes into territory that the guides won't venture to. They are warned by a now aging survivor of the 1959 Dystlov tragedy to STAY AWAY! They push forward anyways. We are not dealing with the best and brightest of Oregon U but they are fun to watch and I recommend this for a fun time.
