The Good Girls (Las niñas bien) Reviews
Excellent film filled with early 80s Mexico City energy and a timeless critique of social stratification - with people ‘above and below’, and the perils of ‘falling down’ the ladder. Based on the incomparable work of Guadalupe Loaeza, this adaptation captures the very real and human pain when expectations become disappointments, the untrustworthiness of social friendships, and ever-present configuring of gender.
Excellent protrayal of Latin American "high-society". This is the story of many families and it won't be the last.
Great cast the three ladies are very strong. The whole cast is great! Enjoy the comédie and the suspense and it was quite addictive although season 2 had a few episodes that was dragging a bit.
Muy buena comedia oscura (muy oscura) que relata el cambio de vida que le tocó a pequeña sección de la sociedad mexicana durante las crisis económicas de los años ochenta.
Beautiful camera work and a perfectly done study in useless lives dependent on money. What happens when the money is gone and the arrogance remains? Very believable.
