If you were expecting True Grit or Gunfight at the OK Corral you're going to be disappointed. This movie is written in the spirit of Pirates of the Caribbean and is meant to be funny at times. The villains are truly villainous and the good guys are well-meaning but inept and yet the closing half hour brings them all together in a satisfying, thrill-a-minute conclusion.

Too long for an action western, but the last half hour makes all the sense, what a rush.

This one is for a specific kind of film connoisseur. It’s not something you can watch passively. It requires your full attention and the right mood. The plot slows and quickens at different points, so you have to be patient. I personally find it thoroughly entertaining.

I thought it was funny and entertaining. Kind of stupid in a way, but fun to watch. It deserves more credit than the critics and Disney give it. Disney+ should allow you to watch any movie it makes, even if they don't feel that way.

I don't understand the bad reviews of this movie. I found it absolutely thrilling. I'm not one for words, but do yourselves a favour and watch it. For me, it's a must see!

The most boring western movie I have seen.

All the critical drawbacks are valid. But when you hear Armie declare 'Hi Ho Silver' and the William Tell overture ensues all sins are forgiven.

Extremely entertaining, some parts are a little on the slow side but overall a great film if you are looking to have a movie night with your family. Not sure why every one on here is acting like a bona-fide Hollywood critic, but whatever.

I don't know how this final product got approved by anyone at Disney, because the whole affair feels like some off the wall art project. Its overlong, self-indulgent, full of the strangest references, and filled with some of the greatest action sequences of the 21st century.

I wanted to like this movie because I love Western... but it was Pirates of the Caribean boring.

Johnny Depp is a great actor and just enough of the movie relied on his performance alone, which wasn't a bad thing. It kind of felt like a western Pirates of the Caribbean and had a few fun sequences. Gore Verbinski is a pretty good director and the movie looks pretty quality, although he overdid it with the brightness and the shadows in pretty much every scene aside from the nighttime sequences. Unfortunately the movie suffers from blatant conflicting tones, distractions from the main characters/story with conflicts between others that don't have to be in the movie, its length of its runtime, and poor execution of some CGI and impracticality on how characters can survive certain sequences, let alone uninjured. I feel like this movie could've functioned better as an animated film and not a live-action one given how much chaos ensues with physics and how much they expect us to believe what happens. In short, it was fun a few times but blatantly flawed.

Should have been called Tonto. Great action movie. Ending is worth the price of admission

The Lone Ranger is a boring slog that fails to engage viewers with its uninspired storytelling. Despite some action sequences, the film's overall execution lacks excitement, making it a forgettable and disappointing watch.
