The Perfection Reviews
I don't write a lot of reviews but this was brilliant, unique, amazing, I am 44 years old and I've watched every psychological horror there. Well done. Watch it.
Just go into this as if you're gonna watch a B-Movie. With the right level of expectation, you might actually enjoy the movie.
Twists on twists on twists. Really well done movie that kept even a seasoned horror watching guessing. Also it's queer :)
I am truly shocked at the scores on this movie. I hope that this review will help at least one person skip this movie. The story is predictable and uses terrible rewinding scenes to explain a simple plot. The use of implied sexual assault against a minor is completely unnecessary and makes this movie seem more like someone's fetish fever dream. The acting is about as good as a Canadian teen drama. Save your brain cells.
Tense and mysterious atmosphere, and top notch acting make a promising start , and the first twists are legitimately surprising. But the story as a whole is a mess, and the characters actions and reactions don’t stand up to logical scrutiny once all is revealed. The movie relies too much on displaying body horror, but at the same time brushed off too easily by the script.
Multi-layered revenge horror with gratuitous gore that maybe overdoes the man-hate. Succeeds in gaining interest where there was doubt.
Surprisingly it has strange twists and turns that looking back, don't make much sense. But entertaining and relevant it is.
Worst horror movie I’ve ever watched. The plot was all over the place and hardly stuck to one idea. Felt like f*tish and gore content rather than an actual horror movie. Too many constant fillers like the random rewinding. Could’ve been a short film as an opposed to a movie; not enough stable ideas. Overall awful and just silly. Waste of time.
God awful movie cannot recommend at all. only watch at the risk of brain damage. Terrible plot, only good thing is you can't see it's where it's going because you just can't believe its so bad.
Twists and turns, some mild disturbing moments, and interesting character relationships that ended in satisfying ways. Give it a watch if you like manipulative, dark sides of human nature in a believable world.
Very good first half, but a disaster in the last one.
This movie was just as pointless as it was boring. Find something else to watch.
Ottimo thriller!
super happy to finally see justice and not always being "the bigger person" and calling the police. Female rage is real, justified/ It's corrective action. 6 stars!
Decent, a few unexpected moments and overall interesting story, however not too memorable after some time.
This was not a horror movie at all! It was more like a drama/thriller movie. The killing scène was with really weird music that didn't get the vibe at all! You didn't even see the killing! Why is it called a horror then? The trailer was like the only thing that was good about it. Waste of my time.
Loved it, a fresh take on horror. Definitely worth a watch if you're bored of the cliche plots, acting, villains and victims in your typical horror. This is something new.
This is an enjoyable yet trashy movie with questionable themes.
Less of a horror movie and more of a psychological thriller, although act III gets quite gruesome, The Perfection does not quite achieve the perfection it sets out for but it is still a solid movie. Alison Williams shines as writer/director Richard Shepard takes you on a journey full of twists and turns and leaves you guessing for a majority of the film.
