The Princess Switch Reviews
This Christmas movie is romantic, heartwarming, and makes you dream of becoming a real princess. Vanessa Hudgens' acting is convincing, and you're not distracted by her attempts at a British dialect. The film's love interests are both decent men, giving hope that there are actually men who aren't douchebags. All in all, the movie is definitely worth watching! And I'll probably watch it again next Christmas.
I have watched this movie multiple times now, and it hits the spot every single time! It’s a movie filled with love, and Christmas spirit. Definitely a watch worthy!
This has earned a stop on my must-see Christmas movie list every year. I look forward to seeing Stacy De Novo and Prince Edward chemistry every year. Easily have become one of my favorite couples.
The Princess Switch marks the beginning of the trend in Netflix romantic fair that is comedy-light and romantically heavy-handed. This one comes with a stellar Vanessa Hudgens in a dual leading role. Her male co-stars make charming romantic partners. The plot is silly overall and reminiscent of other films like The Parent Trap and The Princess Diaries. The characters are likable all around, so you end up rooting for them anyway. It’s a charming tale with a touch of whimsy and a warm little holiday film.
The princess switch is The romantic and comedy perfect, is cool, beautiful and kindness is The move then we watched wen have a heart brooked and whith a friend. Its perfect cute and romantic i love so much, its one of my favorite movie
Double Vanessa Hudgens isn't something I knew could happen. Cliched for sure, but it's a warm film with its heart in the right place. Thy should've had a scene where the two guys meet and unknowingly talk about their Vanessa Hudgens variant, would've been peak comedy.
It's a nice happy holiday movie with a simple plot. That's all it needs to be. The characters are heart warming and have good chemistry. It's a fun watch
This movie was life changing. Encapsulates love and hardship in finding oneself around the holiday season. I can say for certain that i felt joy, sadness, and overall like a new woman. I wish to marry a prince but for it to be an organic love story such as this one. Don not skip this movie. MUST WATCH!!❤️❤️💃💃 Can't wait for two and three… may or may not have #2 starting right now. Have to go, popcorn is popped😘😘✌️👀
It was cute, kind of like a hallmark movie but more original.
Netflix presents another one of their X-Mas films 'HSM' star Vanessa Hudgens stars as a double role as Stacey Denovo/Duchess Lady Margaret Stacey used to love X-Mas but after she broke up with her boyfriend she hasnt had a zest for the holiday or life itself that all might change though when she and her bakery partner Kevin get the chance to host a royal family's bakery competition in the country of Belgravia it's bizarre too when she notices this man who looks the same in one city and now this one, is he magical? she then runs into Lady Margaret who looks exactly like her! she's arranged to marry the prince Edward but isnt fond of the idea since its about honor, duty and alliance between nations they both get the idea to switch places just to see how the other half lives for 2 days turns out Edward isnt so bad and Kevin seems too perfect, yet both Stacey and Margaret fall for both the film's got that 'Prince and the Pauper' vibe but X-Mas-oriented Vanessa Hudgens is absolutely a treasure to watch playing 2 parts the colors of Christmas add an elegant touch to the art design as well royals dont get to be normal very often and they prefer to stay out of the spotlight, sometimes things happen that dont go according to plan which can be very good this is one of my favorite X-Mas movies and I could not love Vanessa more than I do now :)
Entertaining movie with a fun plot twist.
We laughed a lot😀 She is funny.
The first of this trilogy of Princess Switch movies is the best one. A solid cheesy Christmas movie. In this genre I feel it's rare to find one worth watching year after year, but I do feel that this is in fact worth it. Vanessa Hudgens delivers a servicible performance as Stacy and Duchess Margaret in this holiday romantic comedy retelling of the classic prince and the pauper.
This was entertaining. Rewatchable in the future probably. But not one of my fave Christmas movies ever. Slight above average as far as holiday movies go for me.
A masterpiece. Just as a chair on a stage is not a chair but a *symbol* of a chair, a Christmas cake on a screen is a *symbol* of a Christmas cake. And so it can be cardboard. Every choice was deliberate, and deeply meaningful. The film is about stand ins for the ‘real' thing (expressed partly through the elegant metaphor of a Princess switch). So the production design was built around this idea. Nothing is real. Everything is substituted. And maybe, just maybe, this is enough! What better time to comment on our neoliberal, consumerist values than Christmas? Maybe it's possible to attain happiness without having the ‘best' of everything e.g. life as a princess, or lifelike props, or good acting. What is this ‘best', anyway? It's a deeply self aware masterpiece and has Christmas spirit in spades. Give it an Oscar.
Stuff for simpletons.
