Shortly after midday on 27th June 2007, a man falls from the balcony of his fifth floor London apartment, and dies shortly afterwards. Did he jump? Or was he pushed? The man is Ashraf Marwan: an Egyptian multi-millionaire and the son-in-law of the Egyptian president, recently outed as a spy who had betrayed his country by working for their greatest enemy, Israel. Was he murdered for being a traitor? Or could he have been a double agent, paying the price for working undercover for Egypt? This is the untold story of the 20th Century's greatest secret agent, playing out as a high stakes espionage thriller and whodunit against the backdrop of the Arab-Israeli conflict. georgan g Very interesting piece of Middle East history. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/31/23 Full Review carlota n The story is per se really fascinating, so it's hard not to get a grip on it. The documentary plays with the "rewind" button to help understand the different interpretations and versions of the story, and the complexity behind it. Also, you can watch amazing interviews of Mossad operatives. Even with with a protagonist figure which is hardly sympathetic, the piece is compelling, interesting and informative.
