Daniel M. Kimmel North Shore Movies The Wake Of Light strains so hard at being a "special" movie that it mostly calls attention to how far it falls short. Rated: 2/5 Feb 15, 2021 Full Review Carey-Ann Pawsey Orca Sound Actually, it is the quirks which makes it feel a little different and not your run of the mill romance film. Rated: 3/5 Jan 25, 2021 Full Review Allyson Johnson Cambridge Day Clearly inspired by the work of Terrence Malick, Director Renji Philip's "The Wake of Light" is little more than a highlight reel for some truly stunning cinematography. Rated: 1.5/4 Jan 23, 2021 Full Review Alex Saveliev Film Threat It's a low-key, sparse study of the life-changing choices we make. He may not be Malick, but at least Philip knows to steal from the best. Rated: 6/10 Jan 16, 2021 Full Review Frank Swietek One Guy's Opinion One imagines that Philip hopes that his film will seem quietly profound. But it only feels uncomfortably pretentious. Rated: C- Jan 14, 2021 Full Review Nathaniel Muir AIPT Strictly for fans of romance movies, the film boasts a strong performance from Matt Bush, who elevates the movie. A personal tales that makes few missteps. Jan 13, 2021 Full Review Read all reviews
