I love Nicolas Cage, who doesn't? This movie is not good though. Poorly written, slow, pointless movie.
Laughably bad. Cage's wife is played by a no-talent actress who looks as young as her teenage stepdaughter. The thugs from Cage's criminal past are ludicrous stereotypes. It's clear that Cage, a capable actor, has become entirely indiscriminate about his choice of movie roles. They're just cash grabs for him. I understand his debt problems and the fact that he has to take everything that comes along, but it's still a shame to see him in trash like this--not to mention Peter Stormare and Danny Glover. I sometimes wonder if, when between scenes or after the day's shooting when making a really bad movie, if the actors sit around and laugh, saying, "Man, this film really sucks, but I'll take the paycheck." Or perhaps they try to maintain some kind of pretense that they're doing good work. I suspect the former.
Very mediocre film and the "twist" at the end was pathetic and basically made the whole movie pointless. The sound is bad too. Low volume during dialogue and then have to turn it down when there's music because it's so loud.
Thoughtful piece, not the slobbering predictable no-acting action movie the professional critics seem to have wanted. Ignore their reviews. Mr. Cage brings solid acting chops to this film. Danny Glover even brings dimension to his supporting role, which cannot always be said. There is a genuine plot with interesting and credible twists. Rachel Nichols fills out wonderfully a rather thin role as Cage's wife, and Peter Stomare is great, always bigger than his role. Cabezas brings it together well. I'm loathe to compare, but there are clear precedents laid down here for the first John Wick story. This narrative is fuller, more cerebral than sensual. Take this film on its own terms. It's a rewarding film.
Another average Nicolas Cage film that could of been so much better if it had more action and if it's ending wasn't so lackluster.
Great Like this. There is any one from US. please read little more The Fair Debt Collection Practices Act does not cover your original lender agreement, however, all third-party debt collection agencies who are regularly engaged in the debt collection process are covered by the provisions of this act. Furthermore, many states have statutes that regulate the practices of debt collection agencies, so if Amos Financial LLC has acted in a way that is inappropriate, you can rest assured that you are protected by the law. I only liked the very end of the movie, the last 5-10 minutes actually. I lost faith in Nicolas Cage movies a long time ago but I still can't help but watch them. This was one of the worst of his.
I love action movies. But this one was garbage. Really bad movie with such a let down ending.
Watching recent Nic Cage movies is a questionable pursuit, but I like to take a look periodically. This had the elements for an interesting mob story, but it just doesn't come together. In the end I didn't really like it.
Very disappointing. Nic Cage plays a former criminal, now legit businessman, whose daughter is kidnapped and later turns up dead. Cage playing a vengeful father in a movie called "Rage" had me pumped for some peak unhinged Cage. But no, this is a somber movie and Cage sleepwalks through his role. "Rage" is such a misleading title.
All Cage movies must be analyzed from the perspective of a Cage fan; that is to say, you know what you're getting when you watch this one-star-on-Netflix masterpiece. Speaking for the Cage fans in the audience, this has all the makings of a tremendous Cage romp: a mysteriously dead wife, an inexplicably hot daughter who dodged his genetic thinning hair, the line "I'm clean now/I'm a legitimate businessman" repeated several times, a sagely black cop and Cage's personal all-knife killing policy. Therefore, as far as Cage movies go, this is only not an excellent one because he only screams like three times and the ending is not unsatisfying, but is out of place. God bless you, Nicolas Coppola
