Trainwreck Reviews
Hilarious to see all the Amy haters, hating on this laugh out loud comedy, with a heart. You'd almost think they never actually watched the movie...
Love Amy! All of her movies make me laugh.
Cannot recommend. Amy is not funny and hard to look at.
I personally don’t enjoy Amy Schumer’s work, but Trainwreck aligns with the tone she aims to convey in her comedies, this film’s central theme, the namesake of the movie, effectively captures this tone. Consequently, it’s the only one of her films that allowed me to laugh at her humor and appreciate her decent performance. Grading: C+
Once again, Amy Schumer proves herself to be a one-trick pony.
TRAINWRECK, Schumer’s big-screen debut, moves effortlessly between sharp laughs and a surprising touch of poignancy.
Worst movie in comedy and it’s definitely not funny. They need to make a movie that can actually make people laugh.
A fun slightly subversive raunchy rom com with charming leads full of chemistry and surprising drama. John Cena and LeBron James are the pleasant surprise standouts. The parts with Billy Joel’s Uptown Girl was a cute touch. Admittedly it gets a bit cliché towards the end and goes on for a bit too long, but it makes up for it with the ending and overall, it’s still a very funny and smooth romcom.
You have got to be kidding me. It was so bad that I had to write my first review ever Acting, writing and everything else is disgusting. Wish I could rate it less than half a star.
I am not a big Amy fan, but some deliveries were funny in this movie. I love Bill Hader this film really showed his acting in a different light than I haven't seen before. It is a pretty funny rom-com and one I recommend to see at least once.
The only thing funny are bill Hader and John cena, Amy fails to deliver anything funny much like her stand up.
Not terrible, not great. Some great one liners and cute scenes, but mostly just a fun movie night movie that you’ll forget about in an hour.
John Cena's coming out party (literally). Love this movie.
Everything Amy Schumer emits is marketable only to the extent that you feel she is as desirable, sexy and irresistible as she obviously feels she is. In this case, Amy is apparently so desirable that she has an endless number of partners knocking at her tights. That is, in a very Lena Dunham kind of way, really false and annoying. That is the premise of this movie.
Was this a perfect movie? No, but the writing was crisp with its edgy blend of humor, & vulnerability earning it a 5.! 🥳 Amy is perfection in this role as is Tilda. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Lebron’s lines had me in stitches!🤣
I watched this on DVD recently. It started with a great analogy about how two little girls felt about their relationships with their toy dolls which I thought was really funny. One of those girls grew up to be Amy, who turns out to be a bit trashy. She has a very amusing boss though, and the sports pro's her doctor boyfriend works with share some amusing insights, but Amy herself is not that funny. She's just dirty really, and fairly unattractive. So sadly, I'm not a fan! It's not a terrible film, but Amy's direct sex talk soon wares thin and she has very little else to offer once the shock factor has passed. It's worth a look if you find yourself at a loose end but I wouldn't go out of my way to watch it.
What can I say, another comedic love story. There were parts that are brilliantly funny but overall it was a just ok film.
Horrible, crude, rude, low class, unwatchable.
One of the good comedy movies that I have seen which is actually quite rare to find.
It would have been better if Amy's Disney channel acting hadn't gotten in the way.
