Turistas Reviews
If you like saw, or hostel, you have to watch this. If you like horror, you have to watch this. If you like thrillers, you have to watch this. Turistas, in my opinion, is one of the most criminally underrated movies of all time. Especially since movies like saw, and hostel did so well. This movie, unlike others, is 100% believable. The story is so raw and real, and the acting is near perfect. Viewer beware: Like jaws did to beach goers, Turistas will make you never want to travel to a third world country.
Seemed a little predictable at first, but, for me, it was well paced and the tension / scare factor was delivered well. Would watch again.
'Turistas' (aka "Paradise Lost"). Naive tourists step away from the beaten track in Brazil and find themselves in difficulties. (In the style of 'Deliverance' and 'Wolf Creek').
A getaway to nightmare paradise, it has done enough to keep you in for the ride. Just enough...
It is a pretty decent movie that I'm surprised was so hated the acting is decent probably better than most horror movies it's a concept you don't see as often as your typical ghost or slasher movie it's not super scary though
Everyone who rated this movie poorly is nuts. Great streaming watch with a date who likes thrillers! Scenery, action, and suspense kept us on edge of our seats.
this was fine; typical 2000's teenagers on vacation horror flick. it's not groundbreaking, but it's done fairly well, i didn't hate it. although i don't think i'd go out of my way to recommend it to anyone either.
Pretty good, not exactly great, but decent. Stupid tourist in foreign country movie. They keep making stupid decisions and end up dead. Somewhat entertaining...
A film without any coherence, in addition to completely degrading Brazil, we were portrayed as an extremely aggressive and ignorant society.
This was really bad and wildly xenophobic. It's in the same sort of vein as Hostel but in Brazil and with organ harvesters instead of a rich snuff ring. Also it differs in that Hostel was actually a decent film. It feels like this film was made mostly just so people could watch attractive women wander around in bikinis. However, there were some decent gore effects which helps stop it falling into abysmal territory.
Okay, I agree that the movie was bad, but it is not as bad as the ratings make it out to be. It is definitely a one time watch, with a very predictable plot and underwhelming characters. But, watching it on 온라인카지노추천 one time is a good plan. There are several movies that are even worse, but have gotten higher ratings.
Turistas (also known as Paradise Lost) is intense and sickening in all the best ways! Starring: Melissa George, Josh Duhamel, Olivia Wilde, etc. A group of white travellers find themselves stranded in rural Brazil when their bus takes a tumble down the side of a mountain. They stumble upon a secluded beach cove and a shack serving alcoholic drinks. The perfect trap for an American. Little do they know that the inhabitants are hostile towards foreigners and have bigger more sinister plans for them. It is full of suspense and action. Truly nail-biting. A must watch if you haven't already.
The story is too old; human organs are stolen from innocent victims in a remote location of a third world country. The acting is bad, the set is bad, and in the style of Brazilian soap operas, you got to objectify women, certainly, they have to appear nude. The plot is forgettable, the acting of supporting actors is even worse. This movie belongs in the Mistery Science Theater 1980.
I'm an obsessive watcher of movies. I figure, for every 10 movies I watch, 1 is great. Only those dubbed "great" go into my library and I believe I have around 350 in my collection. So, if I had to guess, I've probably filtered through 3500 (or so) films in the past decade and never bothered to write a review. I chose to watch and review the first movie that presented itself via the channel guide. As it happens, on HBOSG, in the 11:25PM time slot, Turistas was showing in glorious standard def. Check it out, a group of American tourists go Brazil to do American things in the rainforest. The attractiveness of the Turistas is arresting. I'm suddenly very conscious of the way my gut laps over my belt when I sit forward. My only solace, knowing that Duhamel is old now, his abs can't hurt me anymore. Naturally, since the action is taking place in one of them countries below Texas, any and all non-whites cannot be trusted. Apparently, no one told the Americans.
"Hostel" but on a Brazilian beach and in the jungle.
This movie is disturbing yet a great watch. Just don't watch it on the way to your holliday in South-America and you will be fine. Oh and skip the ketchup with your midnight snack
This Locations Make me Really uncomfortable This 1 Star For Locations it's only good thing in this film
What little plot there is, is uninteresting. There is no horror or characters for that matter.
