Unfriended: Dark Web Reviews
I enjoyed this over the first one. Gave a very ‘black mirror’ theme.
The plot is brilliant and you are drawn in right away. I was glued from start to finish, an excellent film with a brilliant twist
Absolutely loved this- it’s rare that a sequel can be even better than the first but this is definitely an example. The plot is brilliant and you are drawn in right away. I was glued from start to finish, an excellent film with a brilliant twist. I’ve rewatched it so many times now and it never gets old.
It's a fun bad movie, the first one was better
Good start, but really unrealistic
nah it's not great I can't even remember what happened but it's kinda boring and it's one of those computer-based movies that just show the screen the entire time plus it doesn't make sense
Low key better then the OG
Just didn't like it. I found myself bored during the runtime and nothing really scared me. Initially I like the premise and how it began but after the "entity" is revealed the movie is just stale.
They should of really had STEPHANIE NOGUERAS acted on the movie and not just be a shadow in the movie... I know for facts that the Entertainment business still have a lot to learn on working with Deaf actress/actors. They bring so much to the table.. Only if they are giving the opportunity, WILL the WORLD will get to see how great Deaf actors are and how beautifully sign language is for all to know.. Deaf actors memorize the their lines, yes they are deaf, but they make up with GREAT EYESIDE AND MEMORY skills.. I'm taking about those who are just deaf..
The movie Unfriended: Dark Web is very suspenseful and more disturbing than the first one. It is supposedly a stand alone sequel but some fan theory says that the hackers, the Charons, also hacked and terrorized the friends from the first movie as one of the files seen on the laptop is named after a character from the first one. If true, it's probably just an Easter egg and not meant to be canon. 🤷♀️ There are apparently three endings but I will only comment on the one that I saw where everyone dies. Some very sick scenes like when the basement boy gets shot by the swat team. It could happen, because trigger happy cops, not hackers to blame there. Also a girl with a literal hole drilled into her head, yiiikes. You're in for a ride even if some parts are not practical irl, but then you never really know what an international organization of hackers is capable of. 😳
This movie is a big waste of time i gained nothing just wasting time
The movie was layered, the acting was good, it would've had me on the edge on my seat if each event that was about to unfold wasn't as obvious and the ending was low effort in my opinion but it's not a complete waste of time.
Unfriended: Dark Web hints at the idea of an interesting story, but bland execution and dull characters greatly outweigh a handful of good scares and intriguing prospects.
The follow up to the 2015 hit about a bunch of friends interacting via webchat and that were haunted by the ghost of their late friend who killed herself However this one switches things up; now it focuses on a new group of friends that stumble into the dark web It’s a portion of the Internet where they can’t track you One of them Matias who is dating Amaya, a deaf girl opens secret cache files containing information on trafficking individuals Now they all get caught up in a deadly cat and mouse game where their electronic devices are hacked, manipulated, and altered Can Matias survive? If the users online disconnect or call the police they all pay the price The first movie was much better in my eyes But this one had a more realistic scenario Touches upon real elements of security, real world fears of secrecy, and scary crimes that are actually going on Kinda hard to buy the supernatural element from the previous film Here is where there’s more believability thanks to Stephen Susco exploring the dark corners of the digital age morphing the worst of humanity It’s enough to raise alarms about the darker side of online with realistic events that are scary themselves A very topical and relevant found footage horror film
Ridiculously made sequel. Poor acting, poor plot, poor part two.
While Unfriended: Dark Web may be hard to believe at certain points, it consistently keeps you on your feet with confounding twists, and showing you the peak dangers of the internet.
Surprisingly chilly, Unfriended: Dark Web is not effectively made and doesn't have an redeemable ending either, but is more freaky than you would realize.
“a sequel that sure as hell surpasses its predecessor! creepy in every way possible. chilling & unnerving. another Blumhouse classic horror ride. Especially love the way the movie unfolds with surprise after surprise.”
