Learned something new. People saying it's communist propaganda are just coping

A great movie! The cast did an excellent job. First time someone had courage to reveal the real incidents that took place involving the Cuban government, the spies, and the US government. Many facts that were untold were revealed in this movie. The real story of what really happened is shown in this movie.

Don't be put off by the one star slaughter brought to you by the Miami Cubano Mafia. Their families lost a L O T back when Castro took over, so I don't blame them for the hate. BUT Loved it. A real slow burn espionage film. The first half is setting the table, and the second half, esp after the narration really pops. The grotesque terrorism conducted by the United States (I'm willing to bet that there's $$$ funneled into these Miami mobs from USAID), funded by drug smuggling tells you all you need to know about the character of the ex-pat movement in Miami. In addition, attacking vacationers? Bombing them in hotel lobbies and shooting them up on the beach?...JHC. Some crew of wimps. The performances are extraordinary. My biggest regret is that Cruz & Armas didn't have a chance to share the screen; that would have been fantastic. It's a judicious commentary showing the resilience of Cuba and the sacrifices made by patriots while under assault from terrorism. If you found this review, I suggest you watch 'Cuba Libre' as well

Complete distortion of reality and historical facts.

A bit long , but a nicely made movie.

Leaving politics aside, this movie is a prime example of how to totally waste a top notch cast assembly. Absolutely awful.

Very much worth it. Leaves you thinking that Cuban spying in Florida must have happened numerous times in its low tech ambience against the mighty high tech of the USA counter-espionage apparatus. Try to watch it as objectively as possible and enjoyment will result. The Cubans are a scruffy bunch, but persistent and intelligent.

Toca muy superficialmente la forma de vida del pueblo cubano. La historia no se cuenta de forma que atrape con el suspenso. El guión es pobre. No sabemos si es un drama, o una película de espías o un documental. Las actuaciones en su mayoría son regulares. Además la mayoría de los actores no convencen de ser cubanos. El casting por tal de buscar estrellas internacionales, no transmite la forma de ser de los personajes reales.

I don't like so much Netflix but I have to accept that the movie is very interesting and tell the story as it actually was. Also it is based in real facts so ...yes 5 stars! U must to see it!

Falls short. Could have been masterful!

What a bunch of nothing! Never mind these people complaining about propaganda or communist anything, it's just flat out boring. It seems like it is too disorganized to tell the story, which appears to be a Cuban effort to report to itself on various efforts to thwart tourism and what have you. Naturally, there's some silly American arm flexing anti-terror bull swirled in there cause there always has to be. But no matter your perspective, be it a raging gung ho American, communist, or even an a-political drug lord. There is one thing you will all have in common here - a movie to complain about. Because complain you will. I can't say I recommend this one. There's just too many other things to do with your day that would be infinitely more useful to your soul.

I would give this movie -5 stars, no respectable Cuban actor will be part of this cast. Same on Netflix!

Great acting, specially convincing performance from Penelope Cruz. She did an amazing job with the Cuban accent. This is a complicated story and one that will likely rough some feathers in Miami. Probably not 100% accurate, but a great based on true story flick
