The Wedding Singer Reviews
The best romcom featuring adam sandler! Loved this movie.
Fun movie, great cast (full cast too), good music/sets/sounds/lights/makeup/hair. The theaters need these types of movies. One of Them Days proved that in 2025 that people want comedy/action/fun all-in-one fun movies. Sure, these two movies are laced with concepts that you can think about, or you can just go and have fun, get some laughs. Christine Taylor is usually a favorite of mine. I like how Taylor can be a lead (The Brady Bunch), or a strong co-star (The Weddy Singer), pivotal supporting (The Craft, helps enhance the struggle the lead issue True by Zimmermen, is going through, so viewers can understand the character) or even a pop in very short scene. Barrymore and Sandler have such incredible comedies. It would be great to see them in movies today and in the future. When the universe drops such a gift, the chemistry that these two have on the big screen, it's a shame not to have more of it! Watch this movie!
Went on a Sandler watch spree and didn't expect this movie to one of if not his best performances ever. Just watch it, you will not be disappointed.
This is one of my favorite, light hearted and hilarious films. I'm not ashamed to say I've lost count how many times I've watched this film, and I always laugh. A certain must see if you haven't seen it.
One of my all time favorite movies!!!
A really charming and funny spin on the classic romcom story. Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore are really likable and have genuinely great chemistry. It helps that the movie didn’t come out too long after the 80’s, so the references and retro satire feels more grounded and subtle compared to the endless 80’s references nowadays that refuse to shut up. The story has been done a million times, but this movie executes so well that you don’t care and throughout it you feel like the characters still act reasonable despite the cliched misunderstandings they’re forced to go through. It has some good commentary about finding happiness through meaningful relationships and hits a good balance between comedy and sincerity.
LOL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Seen this classic about 10 times. Fantastic story and if you like 80s 🎶 music and fashion you'll love this movie!
A Classic Rom Com and Adam Sandler's Best Early Years Flick. Good cinematography with lots of memorable scenes. Everything else really is strong here. Drew & Adam Sandler's chemistry is phenominal in this and easily the best scenes are when they are together. Sandler as the down on his luck nobody special wedding singer is really good here. The absurd humor is very minimal here (though it is here and suprisngly works well probably because of there isn't a lot), the fact he actually plays a character with more emotions than just being angry, stupid and naive, and it feels like there is a actual grounded story here. Granted it is very predictable the entire way but it's so well done it really doesn't matter. The humor overall hits really good here and besides Happy Gilmore this is probably his funniest film humor wise. While not as quotable or absurdly memorable as other flicks of his it's easily one of his best for how well it executes it simple predictable but funny, charming, and sincere story. Anyone who is a fan of any actors in this, the director, comedies, or romance should check this out.
A great romantic comedy that will make you laugh and might also bring tears of joy.
Although I love Drew Barrymore, but this was a below average film.
Um ótimo filme de comédia romântica.
The Wedding Singer tones down Adam Sandler's typically over-the-top comedic style and instead showcases his abilities as both an actor and singer, creating a sincere and entertaining romantic comedy.
Once you seen one Adam Sandler movie, you've seen them all. A likeable, nice guy meets a pretty girl above his range who inexplicably falls for him, combined with some elements of gratification where the good guy sticks it to the bad guy. They are executed reasonably well, and this one is one of his definitive films.
Probably my all time favorite movie of all time. How does this not have a higher rating!
This movie has aged very well. The jokes, the chemistry between Sandler and Barrymore and the 80s setup makes this movie truly a classic.
64%. 12/28/23. Seen it once before and thought I remembered it being funnier but didn't think it had too many lol moments. Love Billy Idol at the end tho. 1.5 rewatch. No big need to rewatch if I'm looking for an old comedy that hits
Vintage Adam Sandler who pairs very well with Drew Barrymore. Plenty of 80’s nostalgia and killer soundtrack. Sandler has his usual entourage that help round out a good story.
