More a collection of scenes than a planned storyline. Poor script, poorly delivered. I should give this two stars because films with 0.5/1 star are sometimes quite good fun. This is just dreadful, even for lovers of rubbish.

Modern porn movies have a better plot and an easier meaning than this awfully meaningless peace of shit...

Jacqueline Bisset and Mickey Rourke gave a very good performance. Some gorgeous scenes of Rio the Islands and the people. Not a compelling story, but the twist at the end is good. Its a film you have to just enjoy for its sexual adventure. The scene where Emily explores the island and her encounter in the dilapidated motel is hot and memorable. So for this being said I give this movie a C.

GREAT MOVIE. A Cult classic for sure. I loved the imagry and music for this film. Honestly it could not have worked with any other actors. LOVE LOVE LOVE this movie. Mickey Rourke....wow. My first crush. You brought to life the passion and intensity one feels when first in love. You can feel it and taste it in every inch of this film. Fantastic. Stellar Performance. xoxo

Monumental heap of trash

Sleazy, Cornball of a movie. I was not around when this was made and was curious how Rouke looked without all that surgery. Well I was disappointed, horrible now and then. If you enjoy shoulder pads, hairy pits and legs, bad 80s music and hair than watch it. I was not excepting a 5 star movie but maybe get something out of it. The love scences even were horrible.

Moral to the story comes near the beginning: "You have to lose yourself sometimes to find yourself." Rest of the movie explores how the two leads go about that.

Don't watch this movie for cinematic experience or art. This movie is totally enjoyable only of you watch it with your spouse for a romantic evening. What to watch out: Background music, Mickey Rourke's charm and Otis's beauty and some amazing chemistry between them.

A pretentious, soft core cheeseball that's not very erotic. Complete with wooden acting, laughable dialogue, an awful soundtrack, and '80s shoulder pads. Typical for Skinamax, not theatrical releases.

Mickey Rourke's character in this fim is every guys dream. I was confused about what the actual plot was in this movie, but then again, I didn't really care lol.

This movie was straight up stupid, the only thing that I liked in this movie was Rourke, and his Harley, he was pretty damn sexy other then that, this movie was a waste of time I just can't believe I sat thought the whole thing prolly because of Rourke.
