Joseph K This 1972 theatrical release is often mistaken for a made for television film The screenplay is thin; there's a cast of 4 and is set in a Minnesota mansion in the dead of winter. Very atmospheric thriller that boasts good performances from Patty Duke and Rosemary Murphy. Patty plays the pregnant widow of a soldier killed in Vietnam who goes to visit her husband's mother whom she has never met. It plays like a combination of Die! Die! My Darling, Rosemary's Baby and 1987s Dead of Winter. Rated 3.5 out of 5 stars 04/24/25 Full Review Audience Member Saw this as a kid and was very good and scary! Want to see it again!! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/18/23 Full Review Audience Member Patty Duke is fabulous Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/22/23 Full Review Audience Member Shot at the Congdon Mansion in Duluth Minnesota, the site of the real Congdon murders, on the north shore of Lake Superior. The movie is a real chiller and great to watch on a dark stormy night. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 02/21/23 Full Review Read all reviews
