Flawless Reviews
Paralyzingly slow pace.
Roteiro e enredo razoavel Vale apena assistir? sim Nota: 6,5
As a human that's seen hundreds of films, I can usually find something redeamable, and for this movie it's Michael Kane. It was a mediocre film until about one hour twenty minutes in. Then the narrative become so unrealistic it made me wonder how it passed screen tests, at which point I wanted to shut it off as it insults the viewers intelligence and betrays the characters we've seen developed over the past hour. Do yourself a favor and watch Spike Lee's "Inside Man" which is what this piece tries so hard to be
A lot of disconnects. Not particularly well written
Absolutely loved everything about this movie. Suspenseful, clean language, clean script, great actors acting greatly, and a great moral, "will you be a giver or taker . . ." and do much more.
This movie is a gem. Think Hitchcock. High production value, spot on performances, clever plot. Classy.
Well acted, suspenseful plot, and unique solution to how the crime was executed.
This is a decent 'spontaneous streaming with popcorn and blanket' kind of movie. Has really convincing performances and some interesting turns in the second half but the heist itself isn't great and only serves as a minor plot device in what really comes off as an undercooked character study.
Moore plays an American (perhaps because she simply couldn't do a decent British accent?) executive in a stodgy 1960s era British diamond firm who's solution to being passed-over for promotion is to rip-off her prominent employer! There's something to be said for the unfair treatment of women in the world of business and finance in any era, but this movie doesn't appear to be interested in that theme enough to explore it much more than merely as a justification for the Moore character's participation in the heist. At least Caine has a believable motivation here and his scenes are all well done. However, the execution of the theft itself isn't the least bit suspenseful and is hardly plausible. I was interested initially wondering how old codger with a limp Caine, managed to remove two tons of diamonds from a super-vault by himself and transport from the scene of the crime, but the solution had me laughing. Good assist from some fine supporting actors, though.
Such an underrated gem of a movie.
It is flawless? Maybe. But it is really unrealistic !
This was low-key a fun movie. You are not going to laugh, you are not going to be blown away by special effects, and you are not going to be left completely amazed. But it’s a fun, simple, and oldschool diamond heist and there’s a wonderful cast of people to pull it off! I love how they structure the story because you really don’t discover how everything happens until the very end even though the heist has already been pulled off by the middle of the movie. So all in all, it was a fun time, but just a very serious tone.
This about people being wronged and getting revenge in the best possible way. It's well and the thinking persons heist movie. It's not action packed but it's not supposed to be either. I loved watching it, it's well acted, directed and scripted.
At first glance, "Flawless" is a diamond hiest movie. As the movie progresses, we find out that there's more to it. Demi Moore plays a woman who works for London DI who is a victim of the "Glass Ceiling" affect. Michael Cane plays a janitor/theif out for revenge. Each has an axe to grind with London DI, but will they get away with it? This movie is filled with strong performances all around, but at times the storytelling is a bit slow-paced, especially in the beginning. It picks up towards the end though. There isn't any blood or gore and very little special affects. If you're looking for lots of flashy special affects, you're in the wrong place. But if you're looking for more of a suspense story, this movie is right up your alley.
Frustating film with characters who seem inept and unbelievable and a convenient and implausible plot. Even the attempted heist is lacking in suspense. Michael Caine's motives seem implausible and Demi Moore's character is supposed to be very smart but doesn't seem so. The plot is only notable for the number of holes. The best part of the film is the attempted heist's method and even that isn't very ingenious.
Boring, cliche, simple and horribly substandard, this a movie to avoid watching, talking about or writing about.
This was not bad. The scenery and how it was shot was a bit.. ugh. but then again, well that is the decor of back in the day. The insurance talk was confusing. Moore's costumes was nice and classy. And a nice ending. However, to me it seemed it was a bit slow for a heist film.
