Igor Reviews

while this movie isn't the best piece of cinema, it holds a place in the hearts of many children.

Love this movie, I stumbled on it one day not knowing what it was and laughed the whole time. I think I might have thought it was funnier than my 3 year old

If there was a option to rate it 0.1 stars I would have done it but it sucks because it is slavery in a movie

This is one of my all time favorite movies, my husband and I watch it yearly at a minimum! I looked it up earlier and was STUNNED but how awful the reviews are!! Seriously, give it a chance. Also the comments saying it's a Burton rip off, I have NO clue where those are coming from because it's definitely not. If anything is was maybe inspired by the feel of Burton, but it isn't anywhere near close enough to say it "apes" the style.

This movie was a banger, but that one evil guy looked like a dried-up banger.

Absolute Banger of a movie

i think this reviewer on Google puts it best (Alexandra harenberg): is it a masterpiece? i wouldn't go as far as to call it that. but is it a fun and creative film? you bet. if you enjoy universal horror films, steampunk, and some really fun comedy, this is the film for you.

Alex Adams does the best with what is said but it is still neither hot not engaging. Additionally Alex Adams has weird genitalia

In theory, this is something I could get into. In practice, it's a horrendously animated and lazily written nightmare. There were moments of good humor (singing Annie while fighting), but for how rapid-fire the jokes are, the hit count is shockingly low. An atrocious and unabashed Pixar-wannabe that mercifully left my brain as quickly as it entered it.

i grew up watching this movie and it holds a lot of nostalgia for me and i honestly wish people would stop bashing it for being tim burtonish

"Igor" Is A Kids' Film That I Believe Has A Creative Idea: An Igor Wanting To Create Life Instead Of Obeying His Master. But With That 1 Element Aside, Although There Are Some Funny Jokes & These Are Likeable Characters, It's Instantly Forgettable. The Cheesy Animation Totally Apes Tim Burton, Pop-Cultural References Get Boring After Awhile, & Most Of All It All Just Seems Commercial. It's Not Bad, I Don't Hate This Movie, I Just Think The Film Never Fully Commits To Its Own Concept; There's Not Much Laughs, But There Are Some, Don't Get Me Wrong, People. Overall, As An Ecentric Take On The "Frankenstein" Character, MGM's "Igor" Has A Creative-Sounding Idea, But It's A Bland, Forgettable Kids' Film I Guess Some People Can Enjoy Fine. But I Honestly Think This Could Of Been WAY More Cooler. But As Is, It's Fine.

It was more of a miss than a hit for me but it had enough interesting scenes to keep one entertained

I vaguely remember this...didn’t like it

I always loved this movie as a kid and still do I like that it's so original with its concept of the world it's set in and the Frankenstein love story is a nice twist that and all the fun characters makes it a great movie

The fully animated debut of MGM, I don't find it hard to see why Igor is not seen as especially memorable but it isn't really terrible. It's more painfully average but is much more competently made than this cartoon's director's "magnum opus" The Emoji Movie. Yes, it's the same guy. The art style and character designs are clearly being made with Tim Burton in mind but the visuals don't come up with anything remarkable that we haven't already seen from Pixar or DreamWorks. If they wanted to go all the way with the Tim Burton visuals and aesthetic, they should've gone with stop-motion. Which, coincidentally, happens to be the same complaint for MGM's next fully-animated Burton-esque feature The Addams Family. The movie stars a talented cast but the one that steals the show is Steve Buscemi as a suicidal, immortal rabbit. Every snarky comment and moment where he tries to kill himself is always good for a laugh. The premise is actually pretty clever and the setting allows for some creativity. It's not to say the movie is flawless, though. The animation, while not bad, isn't exactly breathtaking as was mentioned before. The idea of an evil scientist's assistant making his own monster and training her to be evil sounds clever but thanks to one of his friends being a dumb-dumb, she ends up wanting to be an actress instead of malevolent. There's also a romantic subplot which comes out of nowhere and is also incredibly disturbing when you think about it. Igor is occasionally funny and it's trying to be a good movie but comes off as another forgettable DreamWorks knockoff. Still beats that Chicken Little movie.
