A gripping thriller that will have you convinced of what happened

…Stone’s film has more meat on the bone than most of the craven daily, ever-changing alibis used by the guilty to conceal their insurrectionist actions in 2023…

You might not agree with Stone but you have to admire the filmmaking craft on display here and some elements of Garrison’s argument make sense.

Stone... is only trying to incite a scandal with JFK. [Full review in Spanish]

A big, thick piece of work, a leatherbound refutation of the Warren Commission Report.
| Original Score: A | Aug 31, 2022
It works both to relive that tragic moment in American history... and to bolster the theory that Oswald was nothing more than a CIA stooge and still didn't even touch the trigger.

JFK remains a film that starts conversations after viewing. The film opens up a Pandoras box that up until that time had not been done in an effective manner. While it only concentrates on one conspiracy theory, it leaves its audience wanting more.
| Original Score: 3.5/4 | Feb 14, 2022
JFK does not stand as a historical document or marker of fact; rather, with an incredible degree of formal audacity and skill, it compels us on an undeniable emotional level and asks that we continue to search for the truth.
| Original Score: 4/4 | Feb 14, 2022
It is a dense, beautifully made, and well-acted film.

One of the most frenetically edited studio movies ever made, JFK is a paradox, a movie of unstoppable velocity that seems to drag on forever.

JFK is so effective that regardless of one's agreement or disagreement with the conclusions director Stone draws from his considerable research, there is simply no denying its success as a work of remarkable persuasive power.

[It] is a beautifully crafted, steadily engrossing mega-thriller.

While Stone has certainly stirred up the waters, with good conscience and, in JFK's own parlance, "with vigah," most people are likely to regard JFK as BS.

an imperfect masterpiece
| Original Score: 4.5/5 | Nov 22, 2013
Even aside from what it's saying, and even with the many, many forced moments, JFK has a mad genius about it.
| Original Score: 4/5 | Nov 12, 2013
It's damn entertaining and thought-provoking.

Despite the controversial and verbose nature of the material, not to mention lenghty running time, Oliver Stone's JFK is a riveting dramatizaition of various conspiracy theories regarding the Kennedy's assassination
| Original Score: B+ | Mar 4, 2011
Sad to say, Oliver Stone's three hours of bombast did little to raise the level of discussion.

There's something almost quaint about JFK now.
