JFK Reviews
The one that awoke my conspiracy theorist mind at young age. Kevin Costner making one of his greatest performances and the scene with Donald Sutherland one of the most exciting to watch in my life.
An amazing story, one that needs to be told for generations to see. The film provides a stellar cast, with what I believe to be Kevin Costner's best film. Oliver Stone really outdid himself on this masterpiece.
It almost makes you feel like your in on the conspiracy yourself. And transports you back to the 60's
After watching about 15 minutes, I felt like I had licked an ashtray and had to cut it off. Do NOT recommend!
An absolute masterpiece by Oliver Stone. Stone took a big swing at the JFK assassination & turned one of the most well documented political events of the 20th century into a big screen political thriller. Joe Peschi, Kevin Bacon, TommyLee Jones, Jack Lemmon, Ed Asner, Donald Sutherland & John Candy all deserved 'Best Supporting Actor' Oscar nods.
JFK is a movie that everyone needs to see important historical information that many young people are not even aware of. Highly recommended. If you don’t see this, you don’t know what’s going on!
Fantastic storytelling, acting and characters that manage to keep me glued to a dialogue-heavy 3-hour movie. Definitely a favourite.
One of the most underrated historical dramas ever.
Stone's direction is powerful and the film is expertly crafted, combining archival footage, reenactments, and fictionalized scenes to create a compelling narrative. The performances are very strong, with Costner delivering a standout turn as the determined and principled Garrison. One of the strengths of the film is its ability to raise important questions about the assassination and the official version of events. However, some critics have argued that Stone takes too many liberties with the facts and indulges in conspiracy theories. However, i still think that this movie is way to long and could've been an even greater mini series. In conlusion, JFK is a well-made and engrossing film that raises important questions about one of the defining moments in American history, but it can be divisive due to its interpretation of the facts.
The movie not only tells the EMOTION of the day in November 22, 1963, it also tells us the science of the injuries of what happened that day. Along with proving there has to be more than one gunman.
After three and a half hours of testimony, chaos, and incredible history, all that I can say is this: wow!
The movie had many different twists and discoveries, but many of the monologue scenes went on for a long time.
Costner is awesome in this. Time flies in this movie
This film is OK. The history and assassination of J.F.K is definitely interesting and makes for a great story/film, but unfortunately this one is to long and not engaging enough to keep me entertained all the way through. The acting is good, with the stand out being Gary Oldman as Oswald. The last hour of this film is the best, when they're all in the courtroom and Kevin Costner is describing how J.F.K was assassinated and seeing the real life footage is both disturbing and fascinating. The rest of the film is abit of a drag however and the scenes involving Costner's family are annoying and unnecessary. If you're interested in J.F.K or real life politics/assassinations then you'll definitely get some enjoyment out of this. However the film is long and outdated and younger audiences will have trouble staying entertained.
just did a re watch recently. Love this movie!
Costner finds himself entangled with Pesci & Lee Jones in an investigation of the assassination of JFK. All vantage points are examined, and a chilling final scene from Costner will leave viewers wondering.
A long watch, but worth it.
Along with Platoon, Stone's finest work. A provocative, and intense movie that puts a different spin on history and does so in a highly effective manner. Will stay with you long after you see it. In a strong year for cinema, one of 1991's finest.
Excelente! Muy divertida 😃
