Airborne Reviews
One of my favorites...just has a place in my heart as a millennial.
This movie is a classic teen movie from the early 90s. My cousins and I loved this movie. I loves it more though. I was a skater back then and I felt like the main character cause I too had a passion for something that I no longer could enjoy in my new location. And the song by Jeremy Jordan- My love is good enough was the icing on the cake. That song is still in my rotation.
My favorite movie of all time. Just something about it I just love! With all the stunts and romance. Watch it atleast once a year.
It's a film about an innocent passion, one of those summer passions, even though the temperature is low. It talks about the dreams of a youth and the implications it brings to us. Yes, there's also inline skating and a sport that became a movie and influenced a generation all over the world.
Great high school movie.
Every bit as dumb as it sounds.
Amazing Ideas movie that everyone has to see you feel good ending in a f* just a great cinematography for the 90s well-written story well written plan
Airborne is awful. The film lacks any real drama. It's 50% footage of people rollerblading. It's misogynistic. It's portrayal of Ohio of completely fake. It's painfully awkward and desperate and not in a funny way that's relatable. I'm surprised I'd never heard of Airborne until now (2020), but I wish I hadn't.
Today's Viewing: "Airborne". This Has Gotta Be 1 Of The Most "90s" Movies I've Ever Seen. In Fact, I Feel This Is 1 Of The Few Films Written ENTIRELY By The 90s. And For Saying That, It's Not A Positive Experience. It All Shows As "EXTREME", But This Movie Is So Fuckin' LAME! The Script Is Badly-Written, The Story Itself Is Predictable After The 1st 15 Minutes In, The Characters Are Dull, Bland Or Douchebags (With The Exception Of Jack Black, Like In 1996's "The Neverending Story III: Escape From Fantasia"), & The Whole Experience Reeks Of The 90s Like In "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" (1995). The Roller-Blade Race Near The End Is Pretty Cool & Intense, But Even That Shit Gets Unbearably Boring After 15 Minutes Of THAT!! But The Biggest Issue With This Film Is That It Presents Itself As 1 Whole Commercial. That's All This Film Is, A Freakin' Commercial. Amd I Don't Know If We Were Supposed To Learn Anything, IF Anything. It's All Corny, It's Stupid, The Story Is Blindingly Obvious, & This Film Didn't Really Need To Exist. It's Just A Dumb, Dumb Movie.
Classic. Before extreme sprots, we had Airborne.
Me and the kids enjoyed it. Fun little movie that's about peer pressure and bullying and coping with it in a round about way. This movie was on Disney channel if I remember right and never hit mainstream but it's worth a watch.
Mediocre 90s surf & skate flick serves mostly as a fun glance at Jack Black & Seth Green 20 years younger and a view of every 1993 cliche about teenagers to ever be utterly forgotten.
