The Beverly Hillbillies Reviews
Filme bacaninha, o roteiro é mais ou menos, as cenas de até que são bacaninhas, a história é bacaninha, o elenco é bom e alguns ajudam a melhorar um pouco o filme, e os personagens são mais ou menos.
I actually really liked it. To me it’s a story of a low class family completely satisfied with the simple life and have a childlike sense of curiosity and friendliness. And end up stumbling upon a billion dollars move to cali and everyone around them can’t seem to handle it. Whereas they continue to be themselves. I found it funny too I laughed a handful of times during this film.
Corny as f, it is, so it's good to see some nostalgic sheet with some updated characters. Good old weirdos, reminders of them good old days. Funny, silly and fun stuff. Worth the watch cuz Ernest scared stupid and Oswald from Drew carey show being silly together.
Definitely worth watching, got a few good laughs in it
If you grew up with the show, you'll enjoy the absolute cheeseball movie this is. California howdy and all.
The Beverly Hillbillies is the Film version of Comfort Food. I know it has flaws and the plot is kind of disjointed, but I enjoy the film and it is one of my all time Guilty Pleasures. The Cast with the Late Greats: Jim Varney & Cloris Leachman (RIP), not to forgot then up and new comers Erika Eleniak and Diedrich Bader all are hilarious as the Clampett Clan,
The show was bad, this was worse.
I kind of love that this movie answers all of my meta needs, from reuniting Dolly Parton with Dabney Coleman and Lily Tomlin to having Buddy Ebsen show up as Barnaby Jones. And I realize that every critic wanted more out of director Penelope Spheeris. But look, I'm a simple man and I like seeing Jim Varney play Uncle Jed and do you have any clue how many hours and hours I've watched of the original show? So yeah, Erika Eleniak is no Donan Douglas, Diedrich Bader can never touch Max Baer Jr. and while I love Cloris Leachman, she's not anywhere close to Irene Ryan. But isn't it cool to get one more episode, in fact, multiple episodes? And yeah, Rob Schenider and Lea Thompson are just alright bad guys, but this is a movie silly enough to have Zsa Zsa Gabor show up as herself and not smart enough for Jed to say, "That's that Oliver Douglas feller's sister's wife." Seriously, grade school Sam watched Leave It to Beaver, Please Don't Eat the Daisies, The Ghost and Mrs. Muir and The Beverly Hillbillies every single day for hours. If anybody wants to reboot any of those shows, please reach out to me. I'm ready to share my wasted life with the world.
This film is a retread of the television series from the 1960s. The cast is good but the film doesn't offer anything new or different.
1993: A feature-length movie of the 온라인카지노추천 Series about an Arkansan family moving to California after becoming rich upon the discovery of oil on their property. In the movie, a schlep employee of the Clampett's banker and his girlfriend conspire to con the family out of their billions. OK adaptation of the 60's 온라인카지노추천 series. The acting is fine, though the plot line is somewhat sketchy. Worth a view. The cameo of Buddy Ebsen (who played Jed Clampett in the 온라인카지노추천 series) is amusing. Stars: Jim Varney, Diedrich Bader, Erika Eleniak, Cloris Leachman, Lily Tomlin, Dabney Coleman. Lea Thompson, and Rob Schneider.
I like the light silliness of this movie. I wasn't even born to view the series when it had it's run, but I like this movie when I want to smile. It is based on uneducated hillbillies in a fish out of water story, what do you expect a high brow comedy? Just judge for yourself.
There was nothing funny enough in this movie to earn it the comedy label.
C'mon, it pays homage to the original series! Of course, it's not perfect, okay, it's really stupid! But you know what? They have fun with the material that they are working with, and that's what makes it enjoyable!
"The Beverly Hillbillies" is a zany, family-friendly film adaptation of the iconic 1960's tv show of the same name. I use the term family-friendly in a loose sense because the film pushes the boundaries enough that it does not have a clear target audience. The slapstick comedy is entertaining for all ages and the PG-rating/limited amount of profanity are a strong indicator of a family film; still, the running gag of the country characters mistakenly giving the middle finger to city folk will leave parents with a challenging explanation for their kids. The critics hated it but it has an enormous appeal for older fans of the original and captures the style of the original in a modern setting. It makes great use of fast-motion and the Clampetts' ignorance toward modern conveniences like intercoms and pool tables creates laughs from start to finish. Most of the film's issues lie in its overly-cheesy script, though its light tone could be a result of the film's family-friendly target audience. The casting crew still managed to successfully replicate the characters from the original series. Jim Varney (of "Ernest" fame) is a no-brainer for Jed, Diedrich Bader is great as Jethro (and even greater as Jethrine), Cloris Leachman has the perfect comedic timing as Granny, and Erika Eleniak captures the tomboyishness and beauty of Elly May. New characters are played by Lily Tomlin and Rob Schneider, but I believe that the best performance in this entire film comes from Lea Thompson. Her French accent is magnifique and she convincingly plays her role within a role. One of the smartest decisions in this film was to give a cameo to Buddy Ebsen (the original Jed Clampett), but to incorporate him as his other classic character, detective Barnaby Jones. "The Beverly Hillbillies" has some great comedic moments and clever one-liners, but it will fall short of expectations for fans of the original series and will seem incoherent for everybody else.
Many thank this movie would be a dumb, cartoon-like movie based on the tv show. I haven't seen the show at all, so I can't compare and contrast. But I can tell you that the movie started out as it was suppose to, "Crazy hillbillies cause shenanigans upon people of urban California" but then it spirals into a confusing mess, with buisness talk and hostages etc., not something you would expect from a comedy with rednecks. In the second half, you don't see the hillbilly family until the big climax. Although not a terrible movie, it certainly derails itself too many times to be considered a good movie.
