Seriously one of my favorite movies of all time! Seen it 50 times and every time it's just a riot. Eddie and Martin are FANTASTIC. If you don't laugh at this movie you don't like comedies. Just get through the first 1/2 hour....which still isn't bad but the good stuff comes after. Watch it!

Since this came out I've always been kinda disappointed by it, but I think it's just because it was always sold to me as a zany buddy comedy. It's not. It's got some much deeper stuff going on. Check this out to see what kind of bond two men, who are diametrically opposed can share after being attached at the hip for so very very long. It's more sombre, but still has its humor.

80/100 - funny, great comedy, good duo synergy and worth watching

Really funny, messed up and kind of sad. Back in like the 1930's getting charged for a murder they didn't commit. They get life, and spend life trying to figure out how to get out.

The best part of the movie for me was their banter during the bootlegging trip, before the prison part. The rest was pretty good, but the subjects they chose to be serious about had been done far better in other movies and thus they only amounted to like, the opposite of comedic relief. The climactic sequence with the sheriff was surprisingly suspenseful and any sports subplot is always welcome, but overall my opinion was that this was a mediocre comedy with too many serious moments to stand out.
