Who knew that Shakespeare dude could be so entertaining? References to him abound in this messy but enjoyable movie right down to the use of a remake of Nick Lowe's "Cruel to Be Kind." But you don't have to be a fan of the Bard to like this affable film.

Hands-down one of my all-time favorite movies. It’s the perfect blend of wit, charm, and heart, all wrapped up in a late ‘90s high school setting that still holds up today. The casting is absolutely chef’s kiss — Heath Ledger, Julia Stiles, Joseph Gordon-Levitt… every single performance is on point! Whether it’s the iconic bleacher serenade or Kat’s emotional poem, this movie nails the balance between comedy and sincerity. Timeless, rewatchable, and just plain brilliant.

While in its core this movie is just another "teenage rom-com" it is actually more than that: It offers funny witty characters, great acting, cool settings and music that 100% capture the '90s spirit' -- beyond that it also features interesting ties back to its shakespeare 'roots' - Greatly entertaining
