Good mix of cast, each little story makes the movie very enjoyable, and it all wraps up beautifully.

Great cast, but wow this was underwhelming. Pratt plays the same bully who peaked in high school in Take Me Home Tonight, except without any consequences for his actions in this one. Some of the sub-plots and characters could've been 86'ed from the movie entirely and nothing would've changed. If there were to be a plot to focus on, I wish it would've been on Oscar Isaac and Kate Mara. Their chemistry was great and looking back, Isaac's foreshadowing performance and the writing was subtle and fantastic. Ron Livingston is barely in this, has done nothing wrong and yet is portrayed as some silent bad guy. Overall, I think it's worth a watch. Maybe your own high school experience dictates your level of enjoyment. Some will like it, some will hate it and a select few may love it.

The cast makes this movie fun. But the story is good too. It's a good look at how different life is after high school and how deeply we can be affected by our first love. I recommend it!

Great movie and good character development and progression. Felt engaged and identified with many of the characters. Overall, I thought it was a great movie that was exempt for all the wokeness and politically charged themes in modern day films.

An under-appreciated gem of a movie featuring stand-out performances from the entire cast and the brilliant song "Never Had", written and sung by Oscar Isaac.

Some of the characters are very good. A few are a bit hokey but the storyline is a pretty good one & it is a really nice movie to watch.

The cast is great, but they are not matched with a single interesting or likable character.

I don't know what movie most reviewers watched, but this is an exceptional story from an exceptional mind. If you have issues with the plausability of the story, I suggest you read the book for more detail, a book which only has rave reviews. Visually captivating with a unique dystopian perspective and a love story to behold, UpsideDown captures and enrapture the heart, soul, and eye with wonderment and passion. This is a dystopian story of oppression but one that finally brings hope in the end via possibilities wrought of science and love, a true wonder to behold.

I actually can’t believe the reviews on this one. An amazing cast at rather early stages in their careers. I think if more people saw this today knowing the actors like we all do the ratings would reflect more like the critics but I think it’s funny and relatable. Love the song toward the end. It’s a feel good story with a lot of depth

A brilliant small film about friendship and closure. It's realistic - Reeves' and Elise's story tells my own college romantic experience. I love Oscar Isaac's song "Never Had".

Bottle episode movie with some familiar and fun actors. Unfortunately, the plot doesn't have too much of a climax. The only storyline I was truly invested in was Kate Mara's and Oscar Issac's.

The film perfectly mirrors real-life including its portrayals of the delinquents that made school miserable for many.

I loved this small but brilliant gem of a movie and especially enjoyed the story of Elise and Reeves. It's a romantic slice-of-life film so relatable I could watch it over and over again. The script was brilliant and rings true, and the actors all seemed natural in their role, which I ascribe to an effective director. Not every movie has to be a blockbuster.
