Blow Dry Reviews
Brilliant, I would watch the whole movie just for the total look 😉 I actually loved this film, although it is absurd, it’s very heartwarming and surprising
Some brilliant actors in this movie. Rachel Griffiths, Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, what more do you want? I liked the movie even though it doesn't have good reviews. It's not exactly Baz Luhrmann though.
So vapid it does not work for one moment.
Still so very current. This movie has it all. A Black Comedy tearjerker dealing with the big C, Lesbianism, Love, Loyalty, Family, Small Life and TALENT fulfillment. This is a MUST See for ALL Unisex Folkes. Can't believe The Professional Reviewers Missed their Beauty Shoppe Appointments. Anyone in LOVE with WARREN CLARKE will love his UNIQUE performance and Wait For IT...ENDING Singing TRIBUTE TO ?
Watched in homage to the great Alan Rickman. It's completely ridiculous, but sweetly so. Absolutely lovely to see Natasha Richardson. Bill Nighy is always a treat. And a hoot to see Hugh Bonneville in this role, especially right after watching Downton Abbey. I got a lot of grins out of this.
Too many incredible actors for this to be a truly awful movie (excluding the younger cast members, of course.) While the script is a bit campy and there are a couple bad fake accents, you will find yourself living for Alan Rickman and Bill Nighy scenes, as their charisma makes this movie worth watching.
Just a sweet, funny and sometimes even touching movie about a family of hairdressers. Alan Rickman delights, as always.
Silly? Yes. A bit ridiculous at times? Yes. But does that make it a bad film? No. I found this film fun and enjoyable with a great cast in Alan Rickman, Bill Nighy, Josh Hartnett, and Rachael Leigh Cook. This film good for a light faire movie day.
I thought it would be a lot funnier and intense than it was, it was actually pretty tame. Great cast including Alan Rickman, Natasha Richardson and Bill Nighy, but not much else was good. & Josh Harnett's acting/British accent was horrible!
A decent comedy is bogged down by out-of-place dramatic moments. Drama in a comedy isn't a bad thing, but this movie doesn't do it right.
Watch this movie for Alan Rickman and Natasha Richardson, even though for some reason neither of them are on the cover of this film. Bill Nighy is ridiculously camp, and the story manages to be both funny and touching in this little-known English film.
