Heartbreakers Reviews
Not factoring what has and hasn't aged well, there are plenty of laughs to be had here, especially on the physical comedy side of things.

An absolutely deplorable wretch, this is Gene Hackman at his most wildly unhinged, a scene-stealing turn that chews just enough scenery to ignite laughing fits whenever he’s around while never attempting to upstage the film’s stars.

...a better genre film that Ocean's 8, and shows that Weaver really has what it takes to hold a comedy together...

This may be a screwball comedy, but it also has a heart.

The only contribution--and it's a dubious one--that Mirkin makes in his trifle of a comedy is to feminize the perennially male profession of con artists with a mother-daughter team, played by the regal Sigourney Weaver and sexy Jennifer Love Hewitt.

Even though some of them are predictable, Heartbreakers has plenty of laughs -- but in the end it's the Hewitt factor that will make or break it for you.

Mirkin keeps the humor wicked, keeps the rhythm going, and refuses to cave in to sentimentality or overt slapstick.

We can be sure that the makers of this movie know what their product and her assets are and intend to exploit them to the utmost

Perhaps the biggest surprise is Liotta, who turns in a hilarious turn as Dean, in a blatant send-up of his mobster screen persona.
