Cursed Reviews
Cursed is one of my favorite werewolf movies & I don’t understand why it’s gets so much hate from people. A lot of the reviews people leave are about the poor CGI but it was 2005 after all & they didn’t have the technology we have today so it could of been way worse than it was. The pg-13 version is wack but the R version delivers!!
It's a real shame Wes never got to make the film he had in mind, leaving this tainted exercise in studio interference as part of his legacy.
Pretty lame attempt at replicating and mashing up the successes of Scream and Ginger Snaps. There are a couple fun beats, Christina Ricci tries her damnedest and the Hollywood setting is pretty cool, but overall this is just a lame dog. It's really unfortunate that the studio interfered soo hard, because you could see the seeds of something pretty cool, but instead we get a goofy werewolf movie, with horrendous CGI and groanworthy jokes. I wish I could see that original cut.
Idc what people say. This was a super fun popcorn creature feature. Yea it’s campy and there’s a lot wrong with the plot and the twist villain was dumb, but I enjoyed it. Idk. Maybe I’m just a sucker for horror films but tbh not everything has to be perfect or super serious. I’m glad I saw it. I had a good time.
It was not interesting, my son was bored and so was I. I may be slow a lil bit but was confused most of the movie
Wes Craven is a brilliant horror filmmaker but cursed is really a worst horror movie, worst werewolf movie and worst PG-13 horror of all time.
A guilty pleasure for sure, the highlight of this movie was seeing so many young actors in the beginning stages of their careers.
It's not the worst werewolf movie I've seen but there is nothing special about it either. Definitely not Wes Craven or Kevin Williamson at their best.
A lot like Teen Wolf with siblings and more traditional werewolves and lore which means more violence and blood than Teen Wolf. Mostly a standard werewolf flick with a small twist at the end that's also standard for many werewolf flicks.
Wow....absolutely miserable. Terrible story with tonal misfires. The cgi is some of the worst you’ll ever see and makes no sense because the practical effects that are shown at times were solid.
It doesn't always work, but when the horror and comedy come together this film is a lot of fun.
An American werewolf in Hollywood with poor decision in picking cheesy special effects over practicality that would've put the film up to par with Craven's more defining craft, but the disappointing results only transformed an attempted premise promise into a creature feature that makes the Twilight Saga's critical reception more sense. Even though they didn't do much to save the film, but the main pair Ricci and Eisenberg are the only source of redemptive light with their charismatic chemistry including giving humor to the story. (B-)
It was worth watching the movie to see Mya. She is beautiful and has an amazing body. The werewolves looked silly and this broke no new ground. Not very interesting.
Is it a good film? No. But it is what it aims to be. It's like these critics are expecting a horror-comedy to be the next Exorcist. It's a teen drama and unapologetically cheesy monster movie intentionally made in the 80s style of cheap plot and guilty thrills. It's not supposed to be an edge-of-your-seat blockbuster. It's designed to sell popcorn to horny teens who only go to the theater to make out. It's fun.
What...16%!?!? Oh Cmon...this was obviously a satire on the werewolf genre...its meant to be silly and ridiculous and loads of fun...BRAVO to Wes Craven for having the balls to do something not so over-the-top Horror....Cursed has an adorable Buffy The Vampire feel and I absolutely loved it...it's like this made for 온라인카지노추천 kind of movie which we need every once in a while...okay, some of the CGI was really God Awful but in context of the film's tone, cheesy CGI totally works for me...its plausible cuz the humor & absurd plot lines lend license to the good ole campy fun....this film is so non offensive in its Horromedy form that kids of all ages could enjoy it...Nickelodeon or Disney should play this one on Halloween like every year in the tradition of inviting children to the softer side of Horror.
