A simple movie to follow with a lot of action and non stop humour. Lots of unbelievable coincidences but heck totally enjoyable for the whole family.

“Preposterous” and “mindless” it may be, but it’s also a load of fun and a great comfort watch. One of those movies I think of every now and again and love to throw on, and it never fails to entertain as long as you don’t take the film any more seriously than it takes itself.

I mean, entertaining enough, great locales. You see the big budget throughout film. Good enough acting. Some eyestrain material though.

This movie is the BOMB! You know - because it BOMBED! Ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha! Anyway, the plot should've been an adventurer in West Africa looking for something REALLY valuable: You know - like a PLOT! Instead we get a preposterous storyline that expects the audience to suspend disbelief while accepting Hollywood's version of a "noble" group of "adventurers" who plunge headlong into mortal danger (a war zone, no less) so that they can trace the source of a plague. Never mind the fact that there is no plague. Never mind - also - the fact that the main reason for the film's existence is to see the main character follow the clues that lead to a fabulous cache of wealth and riches. A treasure that - by the way - we see at the end of the film is left (unsecured and unguarded, of course) in a dusty cave in the middle of the West African desert! "Oh, look! Here's a cave! Let's leave this fabulous treasure here (because of course it'll be totally fine) so that I can get some much needed downtime with the super hot scientist whose life I've spent half the film saving!" The only thing more ridiculous than the script of this movie is the fact that there's still people who wonder why a sequel was never made. Why did this review come with a 4.5 star rating? 2 words. Penelope Cruz. 'Nuff said.

Action packed adventure movie with a star ensemble, although cheesy humour and generic story telling, I very much enjoyed the setting of this movie.

This movie is an awesome action packed adventure with an interesting and usual story-line. the only this I don't like is that it is a disproportionately underrated film. My vote is that it's two hours of entertaining and guaranteed family friendly fun. Highly recommend.

An Ironclad in the middle of the desert? A lot of fantasy!

I wanted a treasure hunting movie not a movie that is half treasure hunting and we must find a cure for this outbreak before the worlds ocean gets infected and we get its the end of the world ark that was not needed in this film at all.

Entertaining and cleverly funny! The cast absolutely carries it.

This movie definitely deserved more, it's a shame. this should have been an entire Franchise. Casting and acting were on point, it was an exciting story with amazing action Scenes. One of the best comedy action movies that should have had sequels, yes plural. Ended up being a one hit wonder in my book. I really hate the fact that this scored so low in the ratings.

It's most certainly not an Oscar winner, but it is a fun treasure hunt of speculation and wimsy. McConaughey and Zahn work well together and have good bro chemistry.

Actually, Sahara is a fantastic movie. The rating is wrong. Its beyond me that anyone has anything bad to say about this movie. Im watching right now, for probably the 30th time, and im so stoked to be watching it again. Sound track, awesome. Cast, dope. Sets, fire. Plot, unfathomable... in a good way. As the youth would describe, y'all are trippin'.

I really like this movie. Wouldn't own it, but it's very entertaining even if the script sucks and it's kind of mindless. But it's a fun movie.

Highly underrated, action comedy.

Completely preposterous, but with Penelope Cruz and Matthew McConaughey you can't go too far wrong. Lots of explosions, impossible escapes, and witty one-liners. Action comedy! Not a bad way to kill a couple of hours.

Although this has a talented cast, The story line makes no sense in the outrageous action doesn't help either.

What a mess of a plot. This one more about showing the spectacularness of Matthew McConaughey in every possible way in just abut every scene. Cruz is a good actress but casting her as a crusading doctor is a stretch. Zahn quirky and enjoyable, Rainn Wilson the gem of the movie from an acting perspective in my view. If you like McConaughey, action scenes, vivid scenery and have the patience to let the sketchy plot twists play out maybe you come out a little ahead watching this one. For me the alright, alright, alright charisma of McConaughey wasn't enough so it ended as a disappointment.
