Never Forever Reviews
This movie is riveting from beginning to end. Although Vera Farmiga did an amazing job, Ha Jung Woo equally tore at my heart strings. No where in all of the reviews was Ha Jung Woo acknowledged which is shameful. It's as if, because the movie is an American-Korean collaboration, his work was a contribution versus a collaboration. Nevertheless, this was a well written movie with many twists and turns and is a worthwhile see.
another one of Vera Farmiga's early successes some people are willing to do anything to have a child Sophie and Andrew are happily married in NYC but she can't get pregnant so she overhears a man denied payment at a clinic and decides to have the child from him her husband is also in a bad spot after trying to commit suicide so she figures this might bring the happiness back into their lives yet he doubts it considering they failed repeatedly Sophie just wants people to stop hurting and this man she meets says in order to start over you have to lose everything first what starts as a business transaction turns into a passionate affair and now Sophie is torn between having this man's baby and staying loyal to her husband Farmiga's acting is skyrocketing here, I love the music so much with the violin solo pieces, and has that Lifetime movie feel to it most of the stuff you'd expect is in here but it addresses the many anxieties, hardships, and challenges to become a parent making the biggest mistakes to do so the ending is confusing though but everything else is delivered with such emotion and power
Solid, but it never digs very deep with the characters. The characters never feel like more than types. Didn't buy Sophie falling in love with Jihah, she comes across as mostly just lonely and sad.
God, I could watch Vera Farmiga ALL day. The lady controls the screen. I can never keep my eyes off her. I'm referring to her acting, as well, which is the highlight of the film. The story is good but not delivered effectively. It strives more for melodrama than reality. Also, I wish we were given a stronger sense of the husband. We just see him do some a couple shitty things and complain a couple times. I'm complaining about that, but I will NEVER complain about Vera Farmiga or the score, which I greatly dig.
A fairly good erotic drama that I think I understand the issues the hired hand must have been feeling in a sense one can view this as a guy flick, somewhere in the plot there seems to be a message in relation to the war in which Sophie was using the hired Hen as a sex machine. This is one example of the thin line between business and pleasure. So for this being a good erotic drama I gave it a C.
Good acting although the movie's got a sort of far-fetched premise, in my opinion. I didn't really get the ending though.
Aside from the eroticism being over the top at times, this is an intriguing, jaw dropping storyline freshly executed by Vera Farmiga.
Vera Farmiga delivers a good performance in"Never Forever" with her performance elevating the matertial, but the story serves better on a 온라인카지노추천 movie played on Lifetime because it is a bit melodramatic for my taste. It does show a bit of a culture clash between the Koreans and Caucasian heritage. As her first film, Gail Kim does an interesting job as the director with some beautiful cinematography.
Finally, a visual production that actually makes Asian men look semi-manly. I have been checking out any and all movies that in anyway portray a relationship between an asian man and a white woman This is the third. We are seeing a thousand Indian independent films that deal with every facet of the Indian life, including white women. China is becoming a huge American influence so why can't we Americans host our friends with at least some film respect Ang Lee, you need to get cooking. You of all people can make films with white and white and asian and asian and even white man with white man, so what is up with you not giving these rocking handsome men a break? I would like to see a lot more sex scenes. Yes, and this film nailed the cultural realities of the asian culture. I happen to love asian men and am at a stand still in my life because they are impossible to meet. I am an artist and am late in the 40s of age, but fun and cute and pretty. If you have a remote desire to get to know me, and are asian, I am your girl. I can be found on valrovins@hotmail.com. Ciao. V
Very good story with a moving soundtrack. Not all performances were as good as others, but over all an emotional and moving story.
