Unmade Beds Reviews
One of the best movies ever made. Where it might be rough around the edges production-wise, it is engrossing dramatically speaking and the characters are so real and pure and wonderful. I will watch anything the director does and I hope he makes many more films. The music, the scene, A+++++
It's got some good music, is loosely scripted and shot in a fragmentary style with some clever bits of observation. Overall it reminds those of us of a certain age that it wasn't that great being young, confused, having lots of energetic sex and getting off one's face. Good acting from the leads generates sympathy for the inevitable confusion of being newly fledged into an adult world.
INDIE GEN INDIE GEM INDIE GEM. I fucking loved it. It was colorful, fun, cute, sexy, a bit melancholy at times, not saying that's a bad thing, and finally it was absolutely perfect. Perfect can't even describe it. Ah, I fucking loved it.
thought its was quite a good film, well directed, quite quirky, i loved the scene when they were dacning around junk to "we are not the same" by the good shoes.
me gusto mucho!! en especial la mezcla de idiomas, el soundtrack y las historias sobretodo la de vera!
Like shards of psychedelic light cast from the 340930249239 mirrored surfaces of a disco ball, this movie was likewise scattered all over the place yet still seemed to look and sound relatively good. A wee bit more character development wouldn't have gone astray although I was quite fond of Vera's quirky and often indifferent character. The quote about using up all one's luck on trivial things ie a maze also got me thinking. Tres bien!
HERMOSO clisè de una juventud indie y ciudadanos del mundo. Bien llevada, Bonita algo poètica, con buena musica como es de esperarse.
A pleasing nuance of indie styled cinema with some very poetic even if beautifully simple portions of scene design and dialogue. The comedy is quite varied and odd, I found the romance being more at the helm although the laughs for some people, may be found more in the nostalgia of vacant memories similar to the people and social scenes featured. This is a good film to expect a blissful calm from once your really into it and one id expect to be enjoyed by all night party people and music lovers, who like myself may find a few sounds worth looking up.
Lovely little film with a quirky, feel good innocence that reminded me of Amelie without the innocence (if that makes sense!)
An indie film with a great concept that is poorly executed. A boy named Axl from Madrid comes to London in search of his father he's never known, shacks up in an old warehouse where many people live. A girl named Vera also lives there but they don't meet until fate takes over. This could have been good but it was just too boring even for me and I usually love movies like this. The pace of it was way off. It takes far too long to get the point and it only picks up in the last 25 minutes yet there is something about it's quirkiness that makes it good and entertaining at times. I enjoyed its metaphors and it's philosophical stand point. I found the character Axl played by Fernando Tielve(Anyone who's seen Guillermo del Toro's 2001 fantasy/horror "The Devil's Backbone" will recognize him) to be very well developed and Vera's character, well her character isn't really fleshed out until the last 30 mins. I can't say the same for the supporting characters. When the credits rolled, I felt that nothing got resolved. Again this movie could have been so much more enjoyable if it were just more fleshed out. Total Score: 5/10
I didn't like the storyline really but I did LOVE the music and the scenes seemed so real and beautiful. I love the interaction between the people
An indie movie about real (credible) personal stories in the underground London. Amazing soundtrack and really nice to watch and enjoy.
arty, raw and slow-paced. Gives a pretty good atmosphere of 2 people's lives. Could do with a bit of editing though in parts.
