The Twilight Saga: Eclipse Reviews
ECLIPSE is a clear improvement, offering a more layered backstory and greater depth. The two male leads are obnoxious but fully lean into it, while Stewart commands the role, despite the distracting wig.
It was amazing to be able to watch it again on the big screen!
'Some say the world will perish in fire, some say in ice. But after I've tasted the pleasure, I believe in fire.' For the third part, David Slade takes the helm and delivers the best "Twilight" film to date. The color grading is within acceptable limits, the visual effects have improved considerably, the music is OK and the dialogue is no longer as blatantly stupid as in the two previous films. In addition, the third attempt finally has antagonists who have the minimum level of presence so that they are not forgotten again immediately after the credits. Like Bella, I have now come to terms with her role as a passive female being whose goal in life will be marriage. The problem with the many small improvements in "Eclipse" is this: the trash factor is mostly missing. Yes, you can still have a lot of fun with this film. But the level of garbage, especially in the first part, is no longer reached. The film is made too competently for that. Instead of a series of WTF moments, it is often boring. And just because "Eclipse" is better made doesn't mean that Bella, Edward and Jacob's third big screen adventure is even remotely good. Because you can't even call it an adventure.
Good continuity 7/10
Bella is the true villain of this series
God, so, "Eclipse" let's just get in to it. So, things I didn't like were: love triangle is badly made Bella is just switching from Jackob to Edward and and vice versa (I get ti from the half of the movie because she needs to have Jackob's smell on her but still), to many excessive kissing scenes (again), intimate scene (Bella and Edward) that we didn't need, some too cliched and predicitble dialogs (from Jackob), and Bella being so irritating with "I want you to change me". Things I did like: fight scenes were really well made, cgi still ok, character background stories were really interesting although short, I also liked braking vampires cgi and flying glass particles from it, plot was... ok, and screenplay aswell. So, it is slightly not bad but definitely not my favorite.
This may be my least favorite Twilight movie so far. It was, however, still pretty entertaining with the unnatural characters as always and ridiculous storylines. I guess I should have expected this, but the entire movie felt so pointless and against its own self. The whole thing was unpredictable in a very bad way and just restated things from the past two movies before ruining plotlines before they reach their necessary climax. The film leaves you wanting more than it gave and was ultimately not a memorable addition to the franchise thus far.
"Eclipse" does feel like it drags on for the majority of the film with repeated story points, lackluster dialogue, meandering filler moments, a pandering love triangle, grating unhealthy behaviour from one particular character and pure exposition to the big climax of what the last 4th and 5th instalment was entailed to be. However, Twilight is an addictive and entertaining series in and of itself, mainly due to it's expansive characters, unique and moody YA tone, small town forest-ty setting, lead stars' chemistry and tragic yet fantastical concept (werewolves, vampires etc.). The amalgamated final sequence excited and thrilled me throughout, and learning about the side character's behind stories offered depth to the world and made us care more for what was going on. At the end of the day, it's worth a watch just to get you through to understand the overall lore and get going to the next film.
Es ist ein kackfilm und ich kann hier nicht viel sagen weil alles an diesem Film genauso wie Teil 1 ist.Die Effekte sind grauenhaft.Schauspiel ist beschissen und es ist sehr langweilig.Echt nicht gut.
Less enervating than its predecessor but incapable of wriggling free from the laughable premise that holds the series in arrest, Eclipse stands as the strongest entry in The Twilight Saga... which sadly isn't saying much.
If only this were the last in the series ... it would have ended on about as much of a high note as possible.
it's a good show that's why I like it
A very forgettable film in the twilight saga that builds up to an epic battle that ended up being quite lame.
Despite an improved pace, clearer stakes, and visual effects, this series' insistency on keeping the same three leads with their same mountains of flaws does not make it any more pleasing to watch, though the laughable logic might.
Evil vampiress Victoria is creating an army of newly turned vampires to attack the town to kill Bella. These movies are so forgettable I honestly don't remember why. It's probably because of she's jealous and thinks killing her with get Edward back. Also, these movies have everything phase of the moon except the one connected to Jacob, the "werewolf". And since the only affect sunlight has on vampires here is turn them into walking disco balls, break dawn has no meaning. None of the titles have no connection to the stories at all. Like if Victoria was planning on attacking during an eclipse because the werewolves would lose their power to transform, that would have make sense. But considering my grandmother knew more about vampires than Stephenie Meyer does. All we get is this romantic dribble pretending to be Werewolves and vampires. But this is at least a tiny bit better than the last one, but not by much.
Probably the best in the twilight franchise and a solid entry in the vampire movie community. Some of the characters and dialogue are still just as hard to watch, but the entertainment value is present and the action is fun.
Another cash grab sequel
been 14 years to its release, im still watching it all through middle school till now, kinda nostalgic, also being a Robert Pattinson fan helps too. #teamedward
Twilight: Eclipse" earns a modest 3-star rating, showing some improvement from its predecessor. The film continues to spotlight the physicality of Taylor Lautner's Jacob, while Robert Pattinson's Edward takes on a more prominent role. However, Pattinson's perpetually anguished expressions and the lack of the anticipated magical intimate moment for the characters leave the audience yearning for more. The film's saving grace is the final battle scene, injecting some excitement into the narrative. Overall, "Twilight: Eclipse" falls short of fully engaging the audience, landing it at a respectable but not outstanding 3-star rating.
