Triangle Reviews

An erratic yet ultimately rewarding time-travel tale...

| Original Score: 3/4 | Apr 6, 2016

The film would have been better served by a stronger sense of the metaphor it was trying to construct, but as it is, the unravelling of the puzzle is underwhelming.

| Apr 30, 2010

A tense and interesting psychological thriller.

| Apr 30, 2010

A surprisingly satisfying white-knuckler.

| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Apr 29, 2010

Triangle is lots of violent fun for those who like... violent fun.

| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Apr 29, 2010

Echoing the tone of a wicked childhood nightmare, Triangle suggests big things are back on the horizon for Christopher Smith, even if he hasn't quite hit a home run just yet.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Apr 15, 2010

A crisp and refined little mind-bender that gets pretty contorted, but makes just enough sense to deliver a strong final.

| Original Score: 3.5/5 | Apr 6, 2010

Has a strong visual style but a horrible story.

| Feb 28, 2010

Smith no apenas cria um roteiro inteligente e com uma estrutura complexa e fascinante como ainda confere um tom opressivo de pesadelo atravs de sua excelente direo.

'Triangle' is one of the most intelligent, thought provoking genre films in recent memory.

| Original Score: 3.5/4 | Feb 20, 2010

Triangle is so shrewdly conceived that you won't mind its mentally draining resolution.

| Original Score: 3/4 | Feb 15, 2010

Truly it's one of the hidden gems of 2009...

| Feb 9, 2010

The film only makes some kind of sense on its own fantastic level.

| Nov 10, 2009

It's creepy, atmospheric stuff and at every twist of this Mbius strip we wonder how Smith will keep things going. But he manages it with considerable skill and we leave his picture suitably shaken.

The whole film is smart cinema. I wouldn't be surprised if Smith didn't land up with a contract in Hollywood.

A satisfying mind-twister, with an unexpectedly poignant pay-off. You'll see where it's going quite early on, but it still keeps some shocks back for the final act.

| Original Score: 4/5 | Oct 16, 2009

Melissa George's fearless, credible performance grounds the madness in a moving emotional reality, even as her sanity is lost at sea.

| Original Score: 4/5 | Oct 16, 2009

If you can get past its logical inconsistencies - and they are legion - it's not bad.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Oct 16, 2009

A rather smart, interestingly constructed scary movie from British director Christopher Smith.

| Original Score: 3/5 | Oct 16, 2009

Destined to become a fully-fledged classic of the horror genre.

| Original Score: 5/5 | Oct 16, 2009
