127 Hours Reviews
A Masterpiece of the true story of Aaron Ralston, a man who gets trapped by a bolder, and has to somehow get free. The build up of the story is amazing. Start to finish Is highly realistic and powerful.I give it 87%
This film shows what happened to a trapped young man who did not tell anyone where he was rock climbing, nor have a way to contact anyone. While it is horrible seeing what he went though, seems foolish not to be more prepared for life-threatening possibilities. Franco's acting is awesome!
It felt like it took 127 hours to finish this. A guy is stuck in a hole.
Wow, this movie was truly UNCOMFORTABLE to watch! This film is the only one that has ever made me psychically wince multiple times. It is all worth it for the final 25 minutes of the film which blew me away and gave me chills up and down my spine. Hats off to Danny Boyle and James Franco, definitely a must watch if you haven't seen it already.
The story is incredible, but I thought that the movie just didn't live up to my expectation. I saw really high reviews here, but it just felt like it lagged at times, and some of the choices for video effects I thought were just really odd. It was a decent movie, but for me it just wasn't as good as I was hoping it would be.
filme legalzinho, o roteiro é bacaninha, o que salva o filme são as cenas do james franco trancado na pedra, achei legal a atuação do james franco que foi muito boa, mas de resto o filme não cativa muito.
Both Danny Boyle and James Franco give their best.
Special Effects: 1,0/Sound Effects: 1,0/Acting: 1,0/Story: 1,5
Considering the limited subject matter and setting, I think the filmmaker made the most of what there was to work with.
Me gusto bastante, esta película te da mucha inspiración para salir de momentos malos.
A times this movie is vaguely comical which adds as relief for the more hard hitting moments. A good mix of moments from the the 127 hour ordeal that Aron had to endure & it’s all portrayed by Franco so well.
This kind of film is hard to pull off but they definitely do especially with the great performance from James Franco!
The fact that 127 hours was based on a true story was enough to make me want to watch this film. I do feel that it must have been a difficult film to make. How do you portray 127 hours of somebody stuck in a narrow crevice without making the film so short as to not really appreciate the character of Aron Ralston and what he had gone through, nor so long as to make a film where very little happens. I feel that Danny Boyle did an excellent job of directing, and his screenplay with Simon Beaufoy works really well. Invincible Aron Ralston soon realises that he is not invincible and captures what he thinks are his last few days on a video camera. There will be no plot spoiler here, but his escape from certain death is not an easy watch in any way at all. The fact that this is a true story of human endeavour and determination makes this film all the more encapsulating. Had someone made this film as a piece of fiction it would have likely been considered to be far fetched. It really does make you think how you would have coped had you been in the same position. A 90 minute runtime for this film works really well - a good balance between character progression and enough happening to keep your attention.
Very emotional movie, perfect music choices
Ele é agonizante demais, excelente atuação do protagonista, e o que deixa melhor que é inspirado em fatos reais.
Although it could have spared on some of the baggage within its plot and has a somewhat wonky touch, 127 Hours is an inspirational, dynamic and expressive directorial work by Danny Boyle that strongly bears its realistic set-up and James Franco's masterful performance.
Franco delivers a powerful performance and the filmmaking is beautiful.
Only an hour and a half
This is still James Franco's finest work. It's the true story of a guy who goes to a remote area in a national park and gets stuck below some rocks. He's trapped and no one knows where he is. It's a somewhat claustrophobic movie that puts you down there with him, fighting for survival as the clock ticks with low food and water. It's riveting, inspiring and brutal.
