Started out well , but there is so little dialogue in this movie . It was just boring

A masterpiece that reunited Keanu Reeves and Hiroyuki Sanada. Fighting side by side, between fiction and honor, and making of this movie one of my favorites ever.

This movie is such a great movie!!! I absolutely love it. It has great actors, Hiroyuki Sanada and Keanu Reeves in their first movie together! The acting, plot and scenery is awesome! It's a shame about the ratings. My family loved it so much that we bought it and revisit it yearly.

Not nearly as bad as critics made it out to be but still far from great, 47 Ronin is a fairly standard samurai-action-fantasy film that's slightly elevated thanks to gorgeous visuals, a stellar musical score and a scene-stealing performance from Hiroyuki Sanada.

Very boring fantasy added to a well known japanese story. Wooden acting. Incorrect history and rediculous costumes. Why is the shogun wearing a gold bucket on his head? Why is Keanu Reaves even in this movie?

Love, emotions, courage, loyalty, adventure, action, u can find everything in this movie. Acting, direction, story everything is epic. One must give it a shot.

It was nauseating. I feel a small portion of my life was wasted. They're samurai, then they are not, then they kind of are, then not, but then they die a Samurai's death. Yep.

Way better than any Marvel movie out nowadays.

Making a fantasy/horror movie of a fake legend with horrible acting and plot was a big mistake. Avoid at all costs.

Amazing mix of fictional history and fantasy ,keeps you excited with descent effects and Keanu reeves is at his best along with an amazing force of top tier Japanese actors like Hiroyuki Sanada and Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa .

Amazing movie, don't know why there's so much hate for this as it's a master piece. Some argue it's cause they got a white guy to play the main guy but Keanu is half Asian his dad was white his mom was Asian. So this is a great film in terms of story and action.

This movie is probably an 80, but giving 100 to counter all putrid "experts" that gave this a 13. If I could give this website a review in 2024, it would be a zero. I wish rotten tomatoes was publicly traded so I could short the top 15 years ago. Movie is a classic by the way.

I enjoyed it although it can be a bit dull at times, overall it wasn't a bad movie to watch if you like Keanu Reeves

It was a lousy movie 47 Ronin for one jin from Japan is a lousy actor that what I think.

Not sure why this movie got such a bad reception but it is a fine popcorn movie. I understand that others have done the story better but for what it is this movie is pretty good. It keeps you entertained and that is all you can ask of this type of movie.

The mix of real and imagined didn't work for me.

47 Ronin is a good adventure movie without the Disney/Marvel cartoon characters. It's the tale of legend and heroism. The movie follows the legend with dignity and respect. The actors give the legend further credence. It's an adult adventure story.
