Filme mal roteirizado. Embora esteja presentes elementos e gírias dos anos 70/80.

Absolute classic! Walter Hill's best film. Gritty, funny, vulgar, funny as hell. Performances really shine bright, Nolte and Murphy are so good together. Classic supporting actors everywhere.

James Remar was a perfect fit for his role! He portrayed the cop killing escapee well. Nick Nolte/Eddie Murphy's dialogue was sometimes drawn out, but they were a fun pair to watch. Sonny Landham should have had more action in the showdown with Eddie imo.

Nolte and Murphy’s electrifying chemistry and kinetic energy form the basis for this buddy cop comedy that offers plenty of action and comedy.

This movie is a perfect example of why I'll never trust the critics or audience again. I kept thinking, "Maybe this trash will get better." I thought this was supposed to be a comedy, instead it turned out to be a total bore. That it had the critics bamboozled amazed me. Even the t&a, seemingly thrown in just to titillate didn't help. If you are a mature adult, don't waste the time you'll never get back.

The launching point for the incredible big screen talents of Eddie Murphy…..in a film that mixes racial, societal and cultural issues in a multilayered fabric that still packs the same punch today as it did 42 years ago. Brilliant directing and production.

Good action and comedy on the same level.

Poor. Not funny, lacking any real sense of story, and pretty woody. It hasn't stood the test of time, that's for sure

...the perfect mix of action and violence. No better film doing this combination. Some of the peoples reviews must be examples of trying to stand out with a view different from the herd. Everyone i knew loved this film.

Back to the old school. Love this movie. This is when cop movies started to have some comedy in it.

LOL, the funniest 01 hour: and 37 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Starring Nick Nolte as Officer Jack Cates and Eddie Murphy as Reggie Hammond!!!!!!!!!!!

HIGHLY unrealistic cops and robbers drama. Still, halfway entertaining.

There is nothing new here but the leads work great together and the film is fun.

48 Hrs. starts off as honestly quite boring. The villain establishes that he's a legitimate threat and there's a really impressive three-minute scene in a very busy police station done entirely in one take but otherwise, it plays out like any generic cop drama with the chief being an easily-provoked boss and the Cowboy Cop being an asshole whose married life has seen better days. And then, Eddie Murphy enters the picture just in time to save the day. After that, the movie becomes a funny, suspenseful adventure with good comedic chemistry between its leads and decent action sequences, even if, possibly as a result of being the first modern buddy cop film, it has a bit of a work-in-progress feel to it. After all, Murphy did a much better job when he was promoted to policeman two years later with Beverly Hills Cop. Overall, a bit rough around the edges but on the whole, a fun action comedy.

Classic Eddie Murphy. Not for the woke.

Critics have rose colored glasses on this one. Eddie slaps, the rest of it drags. Writing, pacing, plot holes - I know Walter Hill is oft revered in Hollywood but this movie barely kept me in. Took two days to watch bc I paid for the rental and I was gunna at least see it through. Waste of 3$ and that's being generous.

A lot has not seemingly aged well in terms of the racial and homophobic language, especially when the lead you are supposed to be rooting for is doing it. Greatly enjoyed the performances. Was mentally unprepared for a young dark haired Jonathan Banks.

A true classic. But the bickering gets really annoying really fast. It has it's funny parts but it also gets annoying. Plus Jack Cotes is a bit of the stereotypical racist cop. I was getting "In the Heat of the Night" vibes. Considering the use of the N word so many times. But good action, good laughs and that's why this is a 80s classic. Not perfect but a true classic.

Seen today (6/1/22), 48 Hours is startling in it misogynistic manner. Women are purely sex tools or shoved aside (literally and figuratively) because they impede the male heroes' quest. However, it's impossible to deny that Eddie Murphy's screen debut was a huge success and Walter Hills direction and long-lens cinematography provides entertainment. It's now on that growing list of guilty pleasures.
