Although the denouement must once again wrestle with the introduction from the start, revisiting the decades-later troupe that absolutely doesn’t need to be involved, the film remains inspirational, motivational, nostalgic, sweet, and highly entertaining.

Like now as then, the issue of gender parity remains a hot button issue, but the way Marshall handles it throughout "League" never stoops to melancholy nor lingers too long to detract from the central premise: sports are for everyone, especially women.
