A Perfect Getaway Reviews
Pretty Good Take On Meta Commentary About Movie Making, Great Writing And Great Performances From The Entire Cast. Although I Didn't Expect The Twist, It Wasn't Really Too Surprising For Me, It Just Made Less Sense The More I Thought About It, But Not Bad That It Took Me Out Of The Movie, So It's Worth A Watch
One of the most underrated movies. Great story, great scenery, great acting, and a twist I didn’t see coming.
it was pretty fair even after 15 years it just takes so long for things to start picking up its ok in terms of developing its characters the 1st half is pretty much a romance-involved take the twist is actually pretty clever in the 3rd act and you put the pieces together it actually makes alot of sense
I think this is such an underrated film. Steve Zhan excels and frankly everyone is good in it. Writing is above average - it’s a thrilling ride with a good twist eventhough the ending is a touch cheesy.
this movie is great. i like the actors in this movie the twist and turns where crazy defiantly a watch
I had considered that the culprits were who they turned out to be early on in the story. However, there were 2 scenes that did not mesh with that theory. One in particular where the guilty people are discussing whether the other couple is guilty. Huh????? Maybe I'm remembering that wrong. Anyway, it wasn't a bad watch.
An entertaining whodunit-style mystery. Good acting and great cinematography.
More than enough for a good thrill. Chris needs to play characters like this more often.
Solid movie. Good twist and ending. I didnt go in with high expectations, but was pleasantly surprised.
Honestly a fun adventure thriller with elements of comedy sprinkled in. Yes, if you're a movie lover you probably figured out the twist but that doesn't take away from the fun experieince.
Loved it! Would even watch it again, which is very rare for me. Fun thriller. Not too-too gory, either… just enough.
I thought this movie was fantastic! I really thought at first it was going to be like a hunt survival "game" of a bunch of couples hunting newly wed couples on a island type of movie but the twist just blew my mind lol didn't see it coming at all! Absolutely loved the cast! Yes, some awkward acting moments but overall a brilliant story and movie. Hated the flashbacks in blue though, they should've just done it in normal color. Idk why that bothered me so much. Also could've done without the weird bearded mustache with glasses and latex outfit scene 😂 that was so odd. Great movie though really!!
I didn't just dislike it, I actively hated it. The premise and setup are perfect for a fun thriller or campy horror but the execution is atrocious. The writing and characters are so cringeworthy I could barely stand it. We just hiked the actual trail depicted in this film and even with that personal connection this film could not hold a shred of my attention. Total garbage.
Zahn and Mila are sociopaths. Nothing more can be said. A few unexpected twist. Awesome scenery of Hawaii.
I'll admit, I didn't see the twist coming, which these days is rare for me. However, once the twist is revealed they added too much exposition to show how they got there. It totally disrupts the flow of the movie. Still, it's not a bad flick. I especially enjoyed the lush Hawaiian setting.
This is beyond a doubt fantastic and doesn't get enough credit. This film quadrupled its money at the box office therefore obviously it was very popular yet critics tried to rip into it and all I can say is I take no notice. The film was highly successful that it went onto make two more and I believe there could have been another but there's only so many times your daughter can be taken. This set the bar for action thrillers, the car chasing scene for me should should have been axed and some of the killings Brian left about played apart into criticism. But, most people just didn't watch this properly. A very watchable sensationally engaging and eventful thriller. Minus the celebrity endorsement at the end.
