Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie Reviews
Fans of the brilliant 온라인카지노추천 show will be excited to jump in, and while there are fun moments, it doesn’t quite hit the mark. Newcomers, however, will likely feel completely lost.
Excellent Movie Absolutely Loved it !! A Must Watch ! So Funny !! A definite Watch for Fans of the Series!! :P
Probably one of the worst things I've seen, dated, unfunny and no place in current television. A wasted opportunity especially with the cast.
Absolutely Hysterical! Great to see most of the great characters again. Wish there were more films coming.....
I wouldn't say this was "terrible" but it certainly was NOT a patch on the 온라인카지노추천 series. There's lots of old jokes from episodes over the years that we've heard before. Lots of pointless celebrities thrown in for names sake & a pretty weak plot. There's some funny moments in the movie but unfortunately Absolutely Fabulous was at its best in seasons 1-3!
I found this film more obnoxious, certainly in the first half, than funny. The plot was pretty weak but then I assumed that would be the case. It improved in terms of comedy in the 2nd half of the film but frankly by that point, it was lucky I hadn't given up watching it. The first half seemed to be trying a bit too much to be seen to be really up to date in terms of IT girl culture, fashion, popular culture and the like. Of course its not to be taken at all seriously but it just seemed a bit too over the top and barely watchable for too long for my liking. The Absolutely Fabulous characters always were characters your not supposed to especially feel sorry for, well suprisingly(!) this is very much still the case. I think if the plot pace had been a bit slicker, a bit faster so to speak, it may have been better. One of the more slightly amusing scenes is set on a budget airline when the 2 main characters board, waiting to travel to France. Rebel Wilson appears as a DNB (do nothing b***), welcoming everyone on board, where she says 'welcome to budget airways - where our only tossers are our baggage handlers' and 'there's no first class, just first arse in every seat' - comedy Gold, I'm sure you'll agree(!) well I thought it was mildly amusing. While the first half of the film is somewhat louder and faster (not so much in terms of plot pace but in terms of environment/scenarios, with music and the like), its a bit calmer once set in France and I found it more entertaining, although it by no means was amazing, just a bit less in your face, less desperately (trying too hard) to impress. As you can probably imagine, it features quite a large amount of cheese. If you've seen the 온라인카지노추천 series then you'll have a rough idea what to expect, although i wouldn't say this film is better than the 온라인카지노추천 series. A bit later on in the film and I noticed it features strong colourful lighting in the scenes set in France, making it look like a bit of a comic book - its all a bit exaggerated but then I suppose thats 'Ab Fab' for you, as its known as. Would I recommend it?. Its slightly amusing, so if it comes on 온라인카지노추천 then it may be worth a watch but only if your a big fan of the show and/or cast but for the most part. There are some fairly funny moments but their spread quite wide apart and you have to sit through a sadly bland and not entertaining first half of the film to get to the more amusing moments, so overall I wouldn't recommend you go out of your way to see it, no. Its somewhere between poor to ok-ish.
This is one of the most refreshing movies I've seen in a long time. It does follow the British series, but that's part of its uniqueness. I absolutely love the comedy in this flick.
Like a stone skimming over water, a thin plot depends on ridiculous scenarios to carry an over-rushed narrative. All contriving to deflect from the lack of character depth or any meaningful storyline.
You know the only thing I didn't really like about the movie was the ending, which I found underwhelming. The rest of the film seemed great, really hilarious with a stellar cast!
Usually, transferring a sitcom to a feature film doesn't work to well as both formats demand different pacing, different story building and different comedic timing. In this case, putting Edina and Patsy into a cinematic setting made them look more out-of-place than ever, which I found quite brilliant on a meta level.
'Absolutely Fabulous: The Movie' is as bad as I assumed it would be. Admittedly, I've never watched an episode of its popular television series. It is better than most of its counterparts in regards to 온라인카지노추천 personalities hitting the big time, e.g. 'Keith Lemon: The Film' and 'Mrs. Brown's Boys D'Movie', but that doesn't mean it isn't a terrible film. Pointless, illogical plot alongside poor casting which relies on cameos. Jennifer Saunders and Joanna Lumley do work nicely next to each other, even if it is Saunders doing most of the heavy lifting. In terms of laughs, of which there aren't many, Kathy Burke and Nick Mohammed are mildly amusing in their roles together. Some of the cameos are decent, namely from Jon Hamm and Rebel Wilson. The only memorable scene involves Joan Collins and Dame Edna Everage, which at least gave me a smile. Overall, Ab Fab's silver screen debut falls short.
Fabulous Darling, absolutely fabulous. Pop the cork, sit back and enjoy the chaos that Eddie & Patsy bring to the screen.
Oh! How the divas have fallen, sweetie darling! Trite, sometimes uncharictaristically hateful humor intertwines with a plot that seems all at once overbloated and paper thin. Eddie and Patsie's character dynamic is still pleasurable to watch, but this film takes the "all style, no substance" cake and pies you in the face with it. Do yourself a favor and watch the original series. There's actually some charm there!
Is it fun? Sure. Is it good? Reasonably. Is it milking a format? Absolutely. But fabulous? Oh yes sweetie darling!
Raucous, glitzy and abundant with devilish charm, Absolutely Fabulous acts is a splendid adaptation of this British 온라인카지노추천 treat.
It isn't really a normal film, as it includes a recount of multiple spurious references from the original series that only core fans would know. So if you fit that demographic... This is the film for people who want to celebrate a series that ended in 2003/2004.
