This was one of the flattest, most go-nowhere, boring movies I ever saw. More proof that big actors have bills that need to be paid!

Movie is not that bad.I personally liked it.

In my opinion admission is a very bad comedy and a soft drama, it has the worst of both worlds, Fey and Rudd has no chemistry at all.The character of Rudd is the villain of the movie: 1) he Illusions the character of Nat Wolf with a Princeton admission. 2) he manipulates Fey to make her believe that Nat is her son, making her feeling guilty, forcing a crazy and not dicerving college admition. 3) he doesn't take in account his own son opinion about traveling around the world, because he want live a life of adventures, but his son would like to have a conventional lifestyle.

Typical feel good movie, but shows how important is to choose with your heart and not to be so judgmental with everyone

I love watching Tina Fey work her magic! Paul Rudd acts well, also. It's nice to watch a movie and not be worried something from the "woke" generation is going to be put in. I'll probably need to update this review in the future, since I haven't seen this as recently as I meant to.

Delicious movie, which, though formulaic, did not take the audience for stupid. Plus, there were cute twists - like dropping students through a hole in the floor when they aren't admitted. And it does point out a certain unfairness in admissions - but when a decision has strong aspects of subjectivity, that's the way it goes.

Ignore the snarky critics, who said this movie is terrible. It's a lot of fun, there's plenty of laughs, and the characters are interesting. It's true it's mostly pretty predictable, but there are a few surprises and tired tropes like running to he airport are avoided. I think the acting is good, enjoyed the Tina Fay and Paul Rudd lead roles, and liked the 2 unusual kids. Another strength, at least for some of us: there is no viciousness, no sadism. I recommend it.

I like Tina Fey and Paul Rudd. One Star, for each actor. 3 Stars removed for terrible writing and directing leading to terribly unbelievable interactions. Don't waste your time. There's a reason it's free on Netflix.

Rom coms are the one genre that no matter what rating I give .... they are all so watchable . A rom com I give 2 stars too is more watchable then some dramas I give a two . With that in mind this movie was not the best but like I said . 2.1

Incredible depth. Layered characters. Inventive storyline. Humor. Tension. And even a couple of tears. Finally, a movie with substance worth watching on Netflix.

While it's got a great cast...the story is pretty bland and forgettable.

Folks be hating on this movie - but Tina delivers some funny moments. It's original and clean...probably why folks don't dig it.

I have a strange fixation with Tina Fey, so right off the bat, my rating may be tainted. However, I thought it was the best acting she had ever done, especially the final dramatic scene with her mom. I love Paul Rudd too, so this would have just had to be stupidly written to have been bad. And it wasn't. It was unique and precious. I'm not sure why there was so much hate toward it.

This movie is probably worth a quick watch. Tina Fey and Paul Rudd both do a reasonable job. Unfortunately, the story becomes more and more far-fetched as the plot unfolds and, by the end of the movie, you are left wondering why anyone would make such a contrived movie.
