Great action movie with the always dependable Harrison Ford. It's a bit long but it's entertaining.

This movie, if you are looking at it from a perspective of Sophocles is and amazing film. The tragic hero, the president has good fortune and a rise in the peoples favor. Then there is the Hero's decline with his tragic flaw of trusting everyone on his plane. The only part of the movie that strays from Sophocles' criteria is at the very end. Sophocles likes a tragic ending, but this movie has a reuniting of the presidents family.

Air Force One is a well-crafted action thriller that keeps the stakes high from start to finish. The plot is straightforward but effective, delivering a tense and engaging story without unnecessary complications. It establishes the characters and conflict efficiently, setting up a strong foundation before diving into the action. The pacing is well-handled, keeping things moving while allowing room for character moments. While some parts require suspension of disbelief, the movie never drags or loses momentum. The directing by Wolfgang Petersen is sharp, maintaining a balance between intense action sequences and character-driven moments. The cinematography is dynamic, making excellent use of tight spaces inside the plane to heighten tension. The action sequences are shot cleanly, making every moment easy to follow without relying on excessive cuts or shaky cam. The visual storytelling helps reinforce the high-stakes nature of the plot, keeping the audience engaged throughout. The special effects hold up well for the time, though some sequences, particularly involving the plane, push realism a bit too far. The acting is one of the strongest aspects of the movie. Harrison Ford delivers a commanding performance, bringing both toughness and sincerity to his role. Gary Oldman, as expected, is a standout, making for a memorable antagonist with just the right amount of menace. The supporting cast does a solid job, with Glenn Close and others adding weight to the political side of the story. The script is functional, not overly complex, but with enough strong dialogue to keep things engaging. The score by Jerry Goldsmith enhances the experience, delivering a powerful and heroic theme that fits the tone of the film perfectly. Another old school 90's movie that continues to withstand the test of time. With a great cast, great story and great action it's still awesome to watch even in 2025. No better era for movies than the 90's.

Fantastic movie. And the special effects have held up surprisingly well. Possibly my favorite Harrison Ford movie.

Could have been more Die-Hardy; still, features amazing performances and breathtaking/beautifully shot scenes, both in action and in drama.

In a lot of ways it's a cheesy action thriller and there are some moments that earn what were probably unintended laughs. That said, it hits the most important mark for an action movie, taking the audience on a fun and thrilling ride. Harrison Ford is always a fun hero to root for and evokes some real empathy from the viewer. Gary Oldman is a fantastic villain, on par with the likes of Hans Gruber for stoking fear and anger in the audience, though with less wry humor. Even if the tone is a bit uneven, the line "Get off my plane!" is now etched in movie lore.

Air Force One is action packed extravaganza with some big name actors, including Harrison Ford and Gary Oldman along with Glenn Close, who all do exceptionally fantastic in the roles that they were given the film itself is a fun, popcorn, film, and it’s very entertaining throughout the entire film with some notable action. There is definitely comparisons to diehard with this film, but like die hard both are Enjoyable and overall fun movie. Harrison Ford is great in this role as the president of the United States and is completely believable has not only the president but as an action star. Gary Oldman is also fantastic as the antagonist. Air Force One is a definitely a big two thumbs up from me.

Harrison Ford will one day learn to act ... meanwhile he will continue to churn out this sort of rubbish. Spoiler alert ... review written in 2024 and he still hasn't learned. And the film has dated badly.

the fight scenes are really cool

It was a movie with my favorite actor. the actor is an actor who is known for acting brilliantly in any role. The director must have acted very well. It must be really difficult to make a movie about a plane being hijacked. It turned out to be a very interesting movie

Air Force One certainly showed that even with his Indiana Jones fame, Harrison Ford still delivers even though its plot has a lot left to be desired.

Good movie! Very entertaining. Well directed, and doesn't think the audience is stupid. My main issue is with the cgi that looks like something you could do on the computer for free and in 5 minutes. Overall, a good 90's action movie, but not the best one.

The plot sometimes goes too far in terms of believability, but it's exciting and suspenseful when it doesn't. And the acting, man, it never fails to deliver or potray emotions. Air Force One is what today's blockbusters can only dream of being.
