All Together Now Reviews
I thought this movie was so awesome. The only letdown was at the end when I thought I was going to hear her sing again. She has such a beautiful voice. I was anticipating an ending like in the movie Flashdance, where she comes out of the school “pumping her fists”.
Sooo good!! Love the acting and story!
(Spoiler alert). Yes, life is hard. A lot of people really struggle with all the things mentioned in this movie : poverty, sickness, death, cumulating jobs, and the like. BUT, I can't stand so many things in this movie that ruin everything : 1) The acting is really bad. Cravalho has about one facial expression, and the rest of the cast is not really much better. 2) Too much melodrama : she's poor, homeless, her father died, her mom is an alcoholic who dates a violent guy, she dies, her dog has cancer... what else ? I mean, at this point, give her tubercolusis on top of it all... 3) The relationships are unrealistic : the one with the mother is ok and understandable, but seriously : people help you and you tell them to go to hell and they just magically forget, and no one talks about it ? Not even a little "I'm sorry" ? I stopped 25 min before the end. The cancer dog and "I hate people who wanna help me" attitude just did it for me. I'm sure the end is all gooey, but I don't care. It's just impossible to relate to anyone in this film, and the story is really too much.
I was shocked by how good an actress Cravalho is. The story is solid. The cast is good. I enjoyed the movie a lot.
This movie is full of hope, desire, and a cast that works. The buildup is quite a cliche I will admit, but the ending makes up for the drastic turn of events that unfold. I love it.
It manages to juggle a lot for its runtime, but it's bittersweet atmosphere and it's character chemistry make it worthwhile.
Reasonably entertaining. Heartwarming.
This movie is so real when it comes down to hardship and struggle it reminds me of my personal life and others close to me, is motivational for anyone going through something.
Very good and, unlike a lot of movies now, it had a happy ending. A story of the struggles and tragedies that a lot if families are having now. Hopefully, we all will have somewhat happy endings.
I freaking hate that song she sings with the choir! Good story with some weepy bits and further proof Auli'i is amazing.
It can get a bit overdramatic at points but it's led by a strong performance from Auli'i Cravalho to really make it worth checking out.
It's hard to resist a sweet and heartwarming movie like "All Together Now." Though there are many movies similar to this one, I don't mind another feel-good movie. I think the movie has some solid positive messages and a charismatic tone due to its likable young cast. I felt the movie does feel a bit predictable in some ways and does drag a bit in the middle, but the whole package is touching and light viewing. Overall, it's a good, clean high school drama that I was pleasantly surprised by for the most part.
Inspiring story of a high schooler that has to work harder than most to have the 'normal' things of life. Kinda fell out at the 6K fundraiser for her dog...but great movie for young folk.
I loved the emotion and realty with this movie. However, I didn't really like how not all of the main questions that thought about some of the scenes.
This is a great movie. Even the coldest of hearts will need tissues.
Very entertaining. Excellent acting. Carol Burnett's appearance was genuine, surprising, memorable and delightful. I am really glad we decided to watch All Together Now this evening; I will sleep better tonight!
'All Together Now' runs at an easy, manageable pace, but there's nothing that really sticks out. Despite having a decent premise and a shining star, it's interesting how this movie only just manages to scrape by as something worth watching.
